Merit Scholarship For College/Technical/Professional Institutions For SC/ST/OBC/MIN 2014-15 :
Applications are invited from eligible students (as per criteria given below) for providing meritorious scholarship to enable them to pursue their studies.
Eligibility Criteria :
1) SC/ST/OBC/Min. Students should have obtained 60% or more marks in Senior Secondary Exams/Previous classes.
2) Scholarships are available to students pursuing any Degree/Diploma Course/Post Graduate Studies or any Professional/Technical Courses from (State Govt/Central Govt.) recognized/affiliated College/Institute.
3) Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Min. Should not be allowed to receipt any other scholarship during the relevant period. Student Is allowed to avail the scholarship either under the state plan scheme Centrally Sponsored Scholarship Scheme whichever is beneficial to him/her and should inform the awarding authority through the Head of the institution by made of a declaration.
4) The applicant should submit attested copy of Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) issued in the name of student or his father's name duly issued by SDM/Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Domicile Certificate of Delhi if the Caste (SC) Certificate is not issued by the competent authority of Govt. of NCT of Delhi is required.
5) Family income is not applicable in the case of SC/ST students. But family income ceiling of the parents in r/o OBC and Minority students is Rs. 2,00,000/- p.a. and the income proof in the form of a self declaration (In the prescribed format) Is required.
6) Students getting stipend from Institutions/Government during the course of study are also eligible to get the merit scholarship.
7) The eligible students may submit their application (duly filled) along with attested copies of documents required in College/Department by 05.09.2014 and consolidate list of eligible students signed by the Head of College/Institute along with applications and other requisite documents should be submitted to the Deputy Director (SCH.) of the Department immediately or latest by 05.09.20t4.
8) The rate of scholarship will be reduced to 50% if a student who fails in the annual examination, but continues studies, except in cases where the student falls to appear In the annual examination on medical grounds of due to natural calamities or any other reason beyond his/her control.
9) Intentional nan appearance in the annual examination will disqualify the student from the grant of scholarship during the next academic year.
10) In case of minority student, declaration of minority status of the student by the parent in the form of an affidavit (in a non-judicial Stamp Paper of Rs.10/-) along with three years residence proof in Delhi i.e. Ration Card/Epic/Election Photo Identity Card/Aadhaar Number, Land line Telephone Bill of MTNL, Dr1vlng License Issued by GNCTD, Pass Book of Nationalized Bank or Domicile Certificate issued by SDM in Delhi is also required.
11) Gap upto 3 years affidavit to be submitted by the student.
12) Bank Account should be in the name of the student (Joint Bank Account with Parent /Guardian is also permissible and form of Bank details should be verified by concerned Bank/Branch Authority.
13) Scholarship will be awarded as per order/notification/circular/letter issued from GNCID from time to time.

Where To Submit The Application Form :-
Application(s) complete in all respects, duly forwarded by Head of College/Institution concerned, should be addressed and forwarded to Dy. Director (Scholarship), Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities, B-Back, II nd floor, Vikas Bhawan, IP Estate, New Delhi-t10002 on or before 05.09.2014 between 10.00 AMto 1.00PM.
Students once applied for the above scholarship may log on the department website i.e. : www.scstwelfare.delhigovt.nic.in for information with regard to status of their application.

I have applied for this scholarship. My friends have got the scholarship. How can I check whether my name is in the list or not?
