Merit Scholarship (Class I to XII) For SC/ST/OBC/Minority Students 2014-15 :
Applications are invited from eligible students (as per criteria given below) for providing financial assistance to the sbJdents to pursue their studies.
Attention :
SC/ST/OBC/MIN students of Class I to XII of All Government/Aided/Recognized Public School Affiliated To Directorate Of Education/kendriya Vidyalaya (in Delhi Only)/national Open School/schools Affiliated To East, North & South Municipal Corporation Of Delhi/ Delhi Cantonment Board & NDMC.
Condition For Scholarship :
(a) The Scholarship will be given to the students pursuing studies (Class 1st to 12th for SC/ST/MIN. and class 6th to 12th for OBC students) from Govemment/Govt Aided/Recognized/Local bodies i.e. MCD/NDMC and DCB, Kendriya Vidyalaya and recognized public schools In Delhi.
(b) To be eligible, no percentage of marks required for SC/ST/MIN. sb.Jdents (Class 1st to 8th). For OBC students class 6th to 12th and for SC/ST/MIN. students of class 9th to 12th minimum 55% of marks is required in previous class.
(c) Family income limit is not applicable in case of SC/ST students but family income should not exceed from Rs. 2.00 lac per annum in case of OBC/MIN. in case of OBC/MIN. students self declaration of family income inthe prescribed format is required.
(d) 1. Attested copy of Caste Certificate issued in the Name of Student/Father On respect of SC/ST/OBC) & Affidavit in non-Judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/-)(in respect of Minority students) by parent/guardian declaring his son/daughter belongs to particular Minority Community.
2. Attest copy of EPIC Card/AdharNumber, Ration Card, Land line telephone bill of MTNL, Driving License issued by GNCTD and Domicile issued by SDM in Delhi or Pass Bookof Nationalized Banks.
(e) A student is allowed to avail the scholarship either under the State plan scheme or Centrally sponsored scholarship Scheme which ever is beneficial to his/her and should lnform the awarding authority through the Head of Institutions by mode of declaration.
(f) The Bank account should be in the nama of the student (joint Bank Account with parent/guardian is also permissible) & Bank detail form should be verified by concern Bank Authority .
How To Apply :
1. The application form can bedownloaded form the website of the Department
2. Eligible students studying in schools affiliated to East, North & South Municipal Corporation of Delhi may submit their forms to Head of School Principal who in turn may submit the consolidated proposal to zone concerned. Zone in charge in turn may submit to consolidated proposal to Assistant Education Dfficer, 15th Floor, Civic Centre, Mint Road, New Delhi.
3. Eligible students studying in school affiliated to N.D.M.C may submit the forms to Head of School/Principal who in tum may submit the consolidated proposal to Deputy Education Officer (General), Department of Education 10th Floor, Palilka Kandra Sansad Marg New Delhi.
4. Eligible students studying in school affiliated to Directorate of Education may submit their form to Head of School/Principal who in tum may submit the consolidated proposal to Deputy Director Sch/Planing Branch, Education Deptt, Old Partrachar Building, Timarpur, Delhi-52 who is Nodal Officer in the matter.
5. Eligible students studying in schools affiliated to Delhi Cantonment Board may submit the forms to Head of School/Principal who In turn may submit the consolidated proposal inthe Office of the Chief Executive
6. Eligible students studying in schools affiliated to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan may submit their form to Head of School/Principal who in tum may submit the consolidated proposal in the Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Kandriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Delhi Region, JNU Campus, New Delhi.
7. Eligible students studying in Recognized Public Schools, National Open Schools and other schools approved by the Government but not falling under any of the category atS.No. 1to 5 above, may submit their forms to Head of Schools/Principal who in turn may submit the consolidated proposal along with application form duly verified by the Principal to Deput)' Director(Scholarship ,Department for Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Min., B-Block, 2nd Aoor, Vikas Bhawan, IP Estate, New Delhi-110002 immediately or latest by 10.09.2014
8. Scholarship will be awarded to the eligible students as per order/notification/circular/letter issued by GNCTD from time totime.
Note :-
The schools mentioned above at (b) to (f) will keep the application of the students and other supporting documents such as attested copy of caste Certificate, previous class marks sheet (Where ever applicable), self declaration, affidavit etc. may be retained by Head of School for their record which may be checked by this Department anytime.
