Pre Matric Scholarship For Minority Communities Students 2014-15 :
Applications for Fresh and Renewal scholarships for 2014-15 are invited from the students belonging to the notified Minority Communities (Muslim/ Christian/ Sikh/ Buddhist/ Parsi/ Jain) reading from Class-I to Class-X in Government / Private Schools for Pre-matric scholarship (Fresh and Renewal) to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. Application in the prescribed format given at the end of the advertisement shall be submitted by the student to the office of the concerned DWOs through the Head of the School being attended by the student, latest by 31st August, 2014.

Object :
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarship to the meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority communities to enable them to pursue higher education from Class-I to X.

Scope :
The Scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India only.

Conditions for scholarship :
(a) To be eligible, students should have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
(b) The annual income, from all sources, of the students’ parents or guardian should not exceed Rs.1.00 lakh. Students from BPL families, having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order. Inter-se-selection weightage is to be given to poverty rather than mark.
(c) A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail of any other scholarship/ stipend for pursuing the same course.
(d) Scholarship will not be given to more than two students in a family.
(e) 30% of scholarship will be earmarked for girl students. In case girl students are not available then the scholarships earmarked for them will be awarded toeligible boy students.
(f) Utilisation Certificates submitted by the students have to be duly countersigned by the Head of the Institution.
(g) Maintenance allowance will be credited to the students’ bank account.
(h) Where electronic transfer is available students are instructed to write their Bank Account No in the Application Form in Column No. 18. The scholarship amount of the eligible students shall be electronically transferred / deposited.
(i) If all the columns are not filled up and required documents are not enclosed then the application shall not be considered.
