Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhijan (RMSA), Assam is a comprehensive and integrated programme of the Government of Assam (GOA) and Government of India(GOI) , implemented in the state of Assam for providing quality and meaningful education to all children in Assam. RMSA has a vision to make secondary education available, accessible and affordable to all young persons.The other objectives include improving quality of education imparted at all level through making all schools conform to prescribed norms, removing gender, socio-economic and disability barriers, providing universal access to all level education by 2017 and for achieving universal retention. Under this scheme 81 nos. of Model School shall be established in Assam in educationally backward blocks (EBB) and non educationally backward blocks through RMSA. Out of which 14 nos. of school shall start functioning from 1-1-2015
