With a view to offering quality education in the Provincialised Madrassa Institutions of Assam, the Govt. of Assam has fixed the minimum standard of qualification for teacher’s eligibility for the Madrassa Institutions under the Directorate of Madrassa Education in accordance with NCTE Regulation

Article 3 of the Assam Madrassa Education (Provincialisation) Act. 1995 refers that as per the provisions of Article 309 of the Constitution of India, all employees of Madrassa, now covered by deficit scheme of grants-in-aid under the Government of Assam shall be deemed to have become the employees of the Government on and from the appointed day on the following terms and conditions. Further section 3 (a) of the said Act. reads as:

All rules including service rules and rules of conduct and discipline, which are applicable to the Government servants of corresponding grade, similarly placed shall be applicable to all employees of the Madrassa.

So, in the light of strength conferred by the Act. and to bring quality education to the doorsteps of Madrassa Institutions Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for teachers positions in the Madrassa Institutions will be conducted tentatively in the Month of November 2014 by the Government of Assam, Secondary Education Department.

Eligibility Criteria for Teachers in Madrassa Institutions : To appear in the TET for Madrassa Education for the following unreserved posts ,the eligibility criteria stands as stated below:
1) Lecturer : The candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification of M.M with minimum 60% marks from State Madrassa Education Board, Assam.

2) M.M Assistant Teacher: The candidate should have the requisite educational qualification of M.M with 55% marks from State Madrassa Education Board, Assam.

3) F.M Assistant Teacher (Senior Section): The candidate should have the requisite educational qualification of F.M from the State Madrassa Education Board, Assam OR “Maulvi Fazil” from Al-Jamiatul Arabiatul Islamia, Badarpur(Karimganj) OR equivalent certificate obtained from State Madrassa Education Board, Assam with 45% marks

4) F.M Assistant Teacher (Pre Senior Section): The candidate should have the requisite educational qualification of F.M from the State Madrassa Education Board, Assam OR “Maulvi Fazil” from Al-Jamiatul Arabiatul Islamia, Badarpur(Karimganj) OR equivalent certificate obtained from State Madrassa Education Board, Assam with 45% marks.

5) Assistant Teacher, B.A.: The candidate should have the requisite educational qualification of B.A. with 45% marks from any recognized University. Preference will be given to the candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM examination with Arabic as one of the subject.

6) Assistant Teacher, B.Sc: The candidate should have the requisite educational qualification of B.Sc (Bio/Royal) with 45% marks from any recognized University. Preference will be given to the candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM examination with Arabic as one of the subject.

7) Assistant Teacher, Hindi: The candidate should have the requisite educational qualification of Probin/Ratna with Higher Secondary (HS) obtaining minimum 45% marks or BA with Hindi with 45% marks.

8) Assistant Teacher, (ALT) Assamese Language Teacher: The candidate should have the requisite educational qualification of B.A. with 45% marks and having Assamese subject as MIL in HSLC/AHM OR any equivalent Degree with 45% marks recognized by the Govt. Preference will be given to the candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM examination with Arabic as one of the subject.

9) Assistant Teacher, H.S. (Pre-Senior Section): The candidate should have the requisite educational qualification of Higher Secondary (HS) with 45% marks. Preference will be given to the candidates who have passed HSLC/AHM examination with Arabic as one of the subject.

Further, in addition to the above mentioned academic qualification, for direct recruitment to the unreserved posts in Provincialised Madrassa Institutions, all candidates shall have to appear and pass in the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) of Madrassa Education conducted by the Government scoring minimum 60% marks in case of General category candidates and minimum of 55% marks in case of Physically handicapped candidates.

It shall be noted that mere qualification with prescribed marks in the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) in the State shall not confer on any candidate the right to employment as a teacher. However qualification of TET is a mandatory pre-requisite condition to appear at the interview for teacher recruitment in Madrassa Institutions.

How to Apply :
1 Candidates are hereby requested to follow the following steps while filling up the application form-
2 Visit RMSA, Assam’s website rmsaassam.in and click online application for Madrassa TET link.
3 Download the Instruction Manual and read it carefully.
4 Fill the Online Application Form carefully.
5 Then upload your scanned photograph and signature.
6 Size of photograph and signature should not be greater than 35KB, 30KB respectively. The photograph and signature should be either in '.jpeg' or '.jpg' format.
7 After submitting Online Application Form, you have to take printout of online SBI Bank Challan & deposit Rs.400 at any branch of State bank of India from Second Working Day onwards, from the day of submission of online application form.
8 Please note that if candidates commit any mistake in filling the online Application Form, it cannot be corrected by this office. The Office will take no responsibility of any kind for such forms. The candidate can submit application afresh.
