Applications on the prescribed Proforma are invited for filling up following posts on contractual basis in various ART (Anti Retroviral Therapy) Centres in Punjab and Technical Officer at HIV State Reference Lab. Department of Microbiology, Govt. Medical College Patiala.

Anti Retroviral Therapy Centres - (ART Centres) & Technical Officer at GMC Patiala :
1. Name of the post : Senior Medical Officer (SMO)
Salary (in Rs.) Consolidated : SMO-Rs. 45000/-; MO-Rs. 36000/-

Qualification required (as per NACO guidelines) :
SMO :
** First preference should be given to candidates with MD in Medicine or any other clinical discipline.
** If no candidate as per para 1 above is available candidates with MBBS + Diploma in any clinical discipline having minimum 3 years of experience can be considered.
** If no candidate as per para 1&2 above is available candidates with MBBS + Fellowship in HIV Medicine/Diploma in Public Health having minimum 3 years of experience can be considered
MO : Should be atleast MBBS from the recognized Medical College.

2 Name of the post : Counselor
Salary (in Rs.) Consolidated : Rs. 13000/-
No. of post : 5
Qualification required (as per NACO guidelines) : He/She should hold a Master degree in Social Work (preferably specialized in medical & psychiatric social work/psychology). If no candidate with the above qualification is available candidates with degree in sociology may be considered. Qualified and competent PLHIV (People Living with HIV/AIDS), if available, should be given preference while appointing counselors.

3. Name of the post : Pharmacist
Salary (in Rs.) Consolidated : Rs. 13000/-

Qualification required (as per NACO guidelines) : Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institute. If candidate with degree is not available, diploma holder in pharmacy with 3 years of experience in health care institution can be considered. Must be registered in State Pharmacy Council.

4. Name of the post : Staff Nurse
Salary (in Rs.) Consolidated : Rs. 13000/-

Qualification required (as per NACO guidelines) : Should be 10+2, Degree/Diploma in nursing from a recognized Punjab State Institute with relevant experience. Registration with Nursing Council, Punjab.

Qualification required (as per NACO guidelines) : Graduate (preferably with Commerce background) with Diploma in Computer Applications (from a recognized institute or university) or ‘O’ Level course from DOEACC.

HIV-State Reference Laboratory, Deptt. of Microbiology, Govt. Medical College, Patiala:
6. Name of the post : Technical Officer
Salary (in Rs.) Consolidated : Rs.25000/-

Qualification : Medical graduate with two years laboratory experience. Or M.Sc. In Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life sciences
Experience:-Minimum Two years experience in Medical Microbiology/immunological laboratory techniques. Candidates with experience in Quality Assurance will be preferred
