Age Limit Relaxation (As On 01.01.2013) : Ex-Servicemen who have put in not less than six months continuous service will be given relaxation in age limit to the extent of period of service plus three years as follows.
(i) For UR candidates : 33 years + extent of military service + 3 years
(ii) For SC/ST candidates : 38 years + extent of military service + 3 years
(iii) For OBC candidates : 36 years + extent of military service + 3 years

Eligibility : Ex-Servicemen who have retired after putting in 15 years of service and have passed Army Class-I certificate or equivalent, are eligible to apply.

Examination Fee : No examination fee is applicable.

Mode Of Selection : The names of eligible candidates will be arranged on the basis of total length of military service and ex-Servicemen to the extent of vacancies will be called for verification of original documents. After verification of document, a final panel will be prepared from this list. There will be no Written Examination/Interview or Physical Efficiency Test.

Medical Examination : The candidates, who are empanelled, will be subject to Medical Fitness Examination and as per medical classification/standard they will be further considered for appointment based on vacancies available for that medical category/standard of fitness only

Applications, on plain paper, in the given format at Annexure-XI, are invited from the citizens of India and from such other persons declared eligible by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for filling up posts in specified categories of Eastern Railway, as listed below.

Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidate should be minimum 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent and recognized by Indian Railways on the date of application. Candidates appearing at and/or awaiting results of final examination of Class 10th or ITI or equivalent are not eligible

Age limit : 18 to 33 years
Pay Scale : Pay Band-I Rs.5200-20200/- with GP Rs.1800/-

Examination fee : Rs. 100/- (Rs. One hundred) only.
Demand Draft/Pay Order from any Nationalized Bank or crossed Indian Postal Order from any Post Office drawn in favour of “ Senior Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway” payable at “KOLKATA” .
