i) Minor $

iii) Senior Citizen
3) Select, Is applicant eligible for Non-ECR category? Yes or No
4) Click on the Continue Button
5) Please select applicable case(s).
6) Click on the View Required Document Button

Fields marked with asterisk (*) are mandatory

$ : It is assumed that consent of both parents is available, unless specified.
** : ECR status will be printed in the passport of the applicants who fall in the ECR category.For those falling in the Non-ECR category, there will be no specific mention in the passport.

Minor : You are below 18 years of age.

Adult (Excluding Senior Citizens) :
You are a MALE/FEMALE above 18 years of age AND below 65 years AND NOT a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.
You are a MALE above 18 years of age AND below 65 years AND a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.
Minors below 5 years with at least one parent holding valid passport with spouse name endorsed in passport,
You are a FEMALE above 18 years of age AND below 60 years AND a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.

Senior Citizen :
You are a MALE/FEMALE above 65 years of age AND NOT a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.
You are a MALE above 65 years AND a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.
You are a FEMALE above 60 years AND a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident#.

# : You are a Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) resident if:
1. Your Place of Birth is in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). OR
2. Your Permanent Address is in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). OR
3. Your Present Address is in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). This however doesn't include the case where Indian Citizens from other states have been deployed in J & K by Indian Government on official duty.

Documents Required for Non-ECR :
Non-ECR Category Document(s) Required
All holders of Diplomatic/official Passports : 1. No separate document is required except Diplomatic passport.

All GAZETTED Government servants, their spouses and dependent children. :
1. For Gazetted Government servants
i) Identity Certificate as per Annexure B OR
ii) No Objection Certificate as per Annexure M
2. For spouses of gazetted government servants
i) Identity Certificate as per Annexure B OR
ii) An attested copy of marriage certificate issued by Registrar of OR
iii) Joint Affidavit as per Annexure D
3. For dependent children of gazetted government servants
i) Identity Certificate as per Annexure B OR
ii) Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth Certificate by Registrar of Births and Deaths OR
iii) School leaving certificate / Secondary School leaving certificate/ Certificate of Recognized Boards from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution OR
iv) Passport copy of the government servant

All persons having educational qualifications of matriculation and above : Matriculation Pass Certificate

All persons above the age of 50 years :
1. i) Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth and Death Certificate by the Registrar of Births & Deaths OR
ii) School leaving certificate / Secondary School leaving certificate/ Certificate of Recognized Boards from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution OR
iii) Affidavit sworn before a Magistrate/Notary stating date/place of birth as per the specimen in Annexure "A" by illiterate or semi-illiterate applicants (Less than 5th class)

All children up to the age of 18 years. : (For re-issue of passport, after they attain the age of 18 years, documents to proof their non-ECR category has to be submitted, else ECR stamping will be done) : Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Authority or any office authorized to issue Birth Certificate by Registrar of Births and Deaths

In my passport, Incorrect details are printed. What can I do?

If you find any mistake/error in the particulars printed in the passport booklet and the application form you submitted, please return the passport for necessary rectification. Any additional fees required to be paid would depend solely on Assistant Passport Officer (APO)/PIA's decision. If there is a misrepresentation of facts, then penalty could also be imposed.

However, applicants are requested to apply online which will ensure that the passports are delivered without any typographical errors since applicants have themselves fed the data.
