Assistant Librarian Recruitment :
Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K), established by the Government of Kerala, invites applications from Indian nationals for the post of Assistant Librarian.

Age limit : 36 years as on 1.1.2018

Educational and other qualifications :
A. Essential :
i). Masters’ degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree in CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or at least 60% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with sound knowledge in computerized library and Information Systems and Services.
ii). Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
iii). However, candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET / SLET / SET for recruitment and appointment Assistant Librarian.
B. Desirable
PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent.

Experience : Min. 5 years experience working in reputed institutions.
Period of probation, if any : One year
Method of Recruitment and contract period : Direct For a period of 5 years (on contract)

Instructions to the Candidates:

3. For each of the qualifications, professional experiences, achievements, etc., documentary proof in the form of self-attested photo-copies is to be uploaded along with application.

The applicants are also required to list names of at least two referees, who can testify your work experience, skills, achievements, and personal integrity. Provide their names, current designation, current employer, location, e-mail addresses, and landline or mobile phone numbers.

4. All degrees/certificates should be from recognized University/Institute.
5. The originals must be produced at the time of interview.
6. Incomplete applications / applications without necessary attachments may not be accepted.
7. Any misleading wrong information supplied by the candidates may lead to summarily rejection of the application, if found subsequently also, the appointment will be cancelled.
8. The Screening committee shall short-list the eligible and desirable candidates, to be called for interview.
9. Persons employed in Government and Semi-Government organizations must apply through proper channel. ‘No Objection Certificate’ shall be submitted along with the application.
10. No interim queries regarding interview / selection process will be entertained.
11. Canvassing in any form will lead to rejection of application form.
12. Decision of the Selection Committee and the Board of Governors of IIITM-K with respect to the selection process is final.
13. Candidates will have to appear for interview at their own cost, if called before a Selection Committee on the date and place which will be communicated to the candidates.
14. Legal disputes, if any with IIITM-K are restricted to the jurisdiction of Thiruvananthapuram Court only.
