Driver Recruitment :
Applications are invited in the prescribed format from Male candidates for engagement of Driver through an Interview and Driving Test purely on contractual basis for a period of 01 (one) year from the date of joining.

ELIGIBILITY:
i) The applicant must be a citizen of India and should be a permanent resident of West Bengal (the residents of Kolkata will be preferred).
ii) Age Limit:- 21-40 YEARS AS ON 01/01/2017
iii) Qualification:- Class VIII Pass from a recognized School.
iv) Technical Qualification:- Must possess valid Transport License (candidates having heavy license will be preferred).
v) Experience:- At least 03 (three) years experience of driving in any Government organization/ Quasi Government organization/ Registered Pvt. Ltd. Co. etc.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :
i) Driving Test & Interview: The candidates submitting valid applications will be called for Driving Test and Interview [Full Marks-(i) Driving Test-20 (ii) Interview-20].
ii) After the Driving Test & Interview a Merit List of provisionally selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of Marks obtained in both the parts.
iii) Medical Examination:- Provisionally selected candidates will have to undergo a medical test at Kolkata Police Hospital.
iv) Verification of character and antecedents:- Provisionally selected candidates will have to fill up and submit ‘Verification Roll’ which will be thoroughly enquired into by the authority concerned.

HOW TO APPLY :
(a) Application form:- Prescribed format of application will be available in Kolkata Police Website kolkatapolice.gov.in , which shall be printed on white A-4 size paper only.

The following documents shall have to be attached with the application:
(i) Self attested copy of identity proof. (PAN Card/ Passport / Driving License / Voter Card / Bank Passbook with photograph / Aadhaar Card / e-Aadhaar Card with a photograph)
(ii) Self attested copy of proof of address. ( Voter Card / Aadhaar Card / e-Aadhaar Card with photograph / Passport / Driving License / Bank Passbook / Electric Bill / Telephone Bill)
(iii) One copy of recent passport size (4.5cm x 3.5cm), self attested photograph to be pasted on the right top of the application.
(iv) Self attested copy of proof of age (Birth Certificate/Pan Card/Admit Card of Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination/Passport/Driving Licence/Adhar Card/School Leaving Certificate).
(v) Self attested copy of Driving License.
(vi) Self attested copy of experience certificate.

(b) All the original documents as mentioned above will be verified at the time of Interview. The candidates are required to submit application for one zone only

(c) The application form duly filled in along with the prescribed documents should be submitted personally (not by post or any other means) in the DROP BOX kept in the concerned zonal office for which the applicant is willing to submit his application.

The envelope containing the application should be superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF DRIVER ON CONTRACTUAL BASIS 2017”.

LAST DATE AND TIME OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS IS 7th SEPTEMBER, 2017 BY 5.00 PM.
(i) No application will be received after the last date and time of receipt of application.
(ii) Incomplete applications without required documents as laid down in para D (a) are liable to be rejected.

Note:
a. Application form must be filled up in capital letters.
b. Self attested copies of supporting documents against the SL No. 3,4,6 & 9 must be attached with the application form.
c. Application must be submitted within the due date and time mentioned in Employment Notice.
