Central Sector Scholarship Scheme 2014

FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATION FOR CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’2014

Eligibility: All conditions are mandatory and applicable to all categories of applicants
a. The applicant should be an Indian national

b. The applicant should have passed the INTERMEDIATE Examination 2014 conducted by JAC and have secured the total aggregate marks (in first five subjects) equal or above the following minimum marks as per the stream opted by the applicant:
Minimum Total Aggregate Marks for all categories (SC/ST/OBC/UR) to apply for Scholarship (Marks in first five subjects)
Science : 300
Commerce : 304
Arts :304

c. The applicant should be pursuing higher studies and have taken admission in Under Graduation regular course (not correspondence or distance mode) from recognized Educational Institutions/University in India.

d. The applicant should not be availing any other scholarship.

e. Total Annual Income of parents of the applicant from all sources should not exceed Rs. 6(six) lakhs per annum.

f. The applicant should not belong to creamy layer as defined by DoP&T from time to time (Govt. of India. Dept. of per. & Trg. OM No 6033/S/2004-Estt. (Res.) dated 14.10.2004) (This is applicable to all categories of applicants both ‘general’ and ‘reserved’)

Number of Scholarships will be distributed amongst pass out of the Science. Commerce and Humanities in ratio of 3:2:1, Reservation to Sc, ST, OBC and PH will be as per guidelines of the Govt of India

Mode of Disbursal of Scholarship :
a. Scholarship amount shall be sent to the selected candidate’s Bank Account only by ECS (Electronic Clearing System) mode.

b. Applicants are requested to open Bank Account in his/her name only in a branch of any Scheduled Nationalize/commercial Bank which has ECS facility. Applicants are advised to provide their Bank Account number. Bank Name and detail address of the Bank , correct RTGS/NEFT branch code (11 digit alpha numeric code) of the Bank and AADHAR number issued by UIDAI.

c. No request for sending the amount of scholarship by Draft or in account of parents or joint account will be entertained

Renewal of Scholarship :
a. For renewal of Scholarship, applicant has to apply on separate renewal form. Applicant should have passed in all the subjects in semester/annual examinations with not less than 60% marks in the aggregate of 2 semester or annual examinations and have maintained 75% attendance, good discipline and not involved in ragging activities etc.
b. Scholarship once cancelled will not be revived under any circumstances.

How to apply for Scholarship :
A. Go through the guidelines before filling up application form for Central Sector scholarship Scheme.
B. Incomplete application in any respect will not be considered.
C. Filled up Application with all requisite attachments have to be submitted to the JAC on or before the last date i.e. 24.09.2014
D. Joining report must be signed and stamped by the head of the Institution from where UG course is being pursued.
E. The Income affidavit should be either in Hindi or English on the prescribed format on a non judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- duly sworn in before Notary Public/First class Executive Magistrate/Revenue Officer.

F. Following attachments have to be provided to JAC along with the application before 24.09.2014
** Joining report in prescribed format Attested by Head of Institution (In original).
** Photocopy of Mark sheet and Certificate of Intermediate Exam- 2014 (Self attested)
** Photocopy of Mark sheet and Certificate of Matric Exam (Self attested)
** Photocopy of caste Certificate, if applicable. (Self attested)
** Income Affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- (In original).
** Income Tax Returns/Form-16 of both the Parents (of the year ending March’2014) issued by the employer should be attached along with the affidavit wherever applicable (Self attested).
** One cancelled cheque of personal account (which is to be used for scholarship) bearing Account number and NEFT/RTGS code. (In original).

G. Students are advised to keep a photocopy of application (with attachments) with them.

Filled up Application and other documents should be sent to Secretary, Jharkhand Academic Council , Gyandeep Bhawan , Bargawan , Namkum , Ranchi- 834010 before 24.09.2014
