Applications are invited for engagement of Trade Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1991 in General Services Organisation, Kalpakkam in Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. This selection is only for Apprenticeship training on Stipendiary basis.

Educational Qualifications:
(a) Electrician : SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of two year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.

(b) Mechanic(Motor Vehicle): SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of two year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.

(c) Refrigeration & AC Mechanic: SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of two year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.

(d) Fitter: SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of two year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.

(e) Plumber: SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of one year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.

(f) Carpenter: SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of one year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.

(g) Draughtsman(Civil): SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of two year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.

(h) Programming and System Administration Assistant: H.Sc(12th Std.) passed under 10+2 system of Education with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of one year duration in Computer Operator & Programming Assistant / Programming and System Administration Assistant or relevant Trade is essential.

Training Place: General Services Organisation, Kalpakkam/Anupuram

Age Limit : Not less than 16 years as on 05.09.2014. Maximum age limit is 22 years for General Candidates. (for all communities)

Standard of Physical Fitness:
(i) The candidates should be free from evidence of any contagious or infectious disease. He/she should not be suffering from any disease, which is likely to be aggravated by service or is likely to render him/her unfit for service or to endanger the health of the public. He/she should be free from evidence of Tuberculosis in any form [active or healed]
(ii) The candidates should have the following;
(a) Height : 137 cms.
(b) Weight : 45 Kgs.
(c) Chest Measurement : Expansion should not be less than 3.8 cms (irrespective of size of chest)
(d) Vision : There should be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye or the lids of either eye which may be liable to risk or aggravation or recurrence

Selection Procedure: The applicants found suitable will be called for the written test/trade test/Viva voce test. The date and venue of the written test/trade test/Viva voce test will be informed through call letter.

ii) The application in the prescribed format superscribed as “STIPENDIARY APPRENTICE” should be submitted preferably type written on a foolscap paper with the following details along with a recent passport size photograph and attested copies of certificates & testimonials to reach;

iii) Candidates should submit one Application form for any one of the trades indicated above.

b) Educational qualification
c) Technical qualification
d) Other qualifications/experience, if any
e) Community certificates of those belonging to SC/ST/OBC and
f) Employment Exchange Registered Card.
