Applications are invited from the eligible candidates, in the prescribed proforma, for filling up the following faculty posts of in various departments, on Deputation/Contract basis, in Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh

1.Name of the post : Senior Lecturer-cum-Deputy Superintendent
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register;
(ii) M.D. (Hospital Administration) / M.D. (Community Health Administration/ M.D.(Health Administration or equivalent from a recognized University/Medical College/Teaching Institution.
(iii) Three years teaching experience in the profession after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer Registrar/Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/Tutor in a Recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution.

2.Name of the post : Reader/(Endocrinology) (Neurology), (Medical Gastroenterology), (Vascular & Thoracic Surgery) and (Plastic Surgery).
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
(ii) D.M. / M.Ch. or equivalent in the concerned speciality from a recognized Medical College / Teaching Institution.
(iii) two year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Assistant Professor / Senior Lecturer in a Recognized Medical College / Teaching Institution.
Desirable: Minimum four Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus / National Journals.

3.Name of the post : Senior Lecturer (Neurology), (Vascular & Thoracic Surgery) (Cardiology), (Urology) and (Plastic Surgery).
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
(ii) D.M. / M.Ch. (03 years) or DM./M.Ch (02 years) with one year teaching experience in the concerned speciality or equivalent from a recognized Medical College / Teaching Institution.
(iii) Three year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Resident / Registrar / Demonstrator/ Tutor in a Recognized Medical College / Teaching Institution.

4 Name of the post : Antenatal Medical Officer-cum- Lecturer/Obstt. & Gynae
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
(ii) M.D. (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) / M.S. (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.
(iii) 1 years experience in the concerned speciality.

5 Name of the post : Reader/Physiology
Essential qualifications & experience :
I.A(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register;
A.(ii) M.D. (Physiology) / MBBS with M.Sc. (Physiology) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent. OR
B.(i) M.Sc. (Medical Physiology) from a recognized University or equivalent;
B.(ii) Ph.D (Medical Physiology)/D.Sc. (Medical Physiology) from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.
II. Five year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Assistant Professor / Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in a Recognized Medical College/ Teaching Institution.
Desirable :- Minimum four Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus/National Journals.

6 Name of the post : Senior Lecturer/Forensic Medicine
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register;
(ii) M.D. (Forensic Medicine) from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent.
(iii) Three year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar / Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognized Medical College / Teaching Institution.

7 Name of the post : Senior Lecturer/Radiodiagnosis
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register;
(ii) M.D. (Radiodiagnosis)/ M.D. (Radiology)/ M.S. (Radiology) from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent.
(iii) Three year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar/Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution.

8 Name of the post : Senior Lecturer/ Anaesthesiology
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
(ii) M.D. (Anaesthesiology) / M.S. (Anaesthesiology) from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.
(iii) Three year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar / Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution.

9 Name of the post : Senior Lecturer/Community Medicine
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register;
(ii) M.D.(Social and Preventive Medicine)/ M.D. (Community Medicine) from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent.
(iii) Three year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar / Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognized Medical College / Teaching Institution.

12.Name of the post : Senior Lecturer/Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases
Essential qualifications & experience :
(i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register;
(ii) M.D. (Tuberculosis)/M.D. (TB & Respiratory Diseases)/M.D.(Medicine) with TDDDTD or DTCD/M.D. (TB & Chest Diseases) from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent.
(iii) Three year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar / Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a recognized Medical College/ Teaching Institution.

Upper Age Limit As On 01.01.2014: The upper age limit for the above said posts :-
i) Deputation basis - not exceeding 56 years.
ii) Contract basis - not exceeding 50 years.
