Post Matric Scholarship for Minority Students (2014-15) :
POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE YEAR 2014-15 (FRESH/RENEWAL) FOR STUDENTS OF NATIONAL CAPITAL TERRITORY OF DELHI BELONGING TO THE MINORITY COMMUNITIES (MUSLIM, SIKH, CHRISTIAN, PARSI, BUDHIST AND JAIN).
Online applications are invited from the students belonging to the Minority Communities notified by the Central Government (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Farsi, Budhist & Jain), pursuing education from class Xl to PhD. and Technical and Vocational Courses of Industrial Training institutes industrial Training Centres (affiliated with NCVT) in Government/Aided School/College/institute or private School/College/institute recognized by approved authority for Post-Metric Scholarship (Fresh/Renewal) to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India for the year2014—1S. The scheme is specifically meant for Minority students having proof of residence of Delhi.
Best efforts have been made to upload all the School/College/institutions providing Education from 11th Level to Ph.d/M Phil and Vocational courses/Polytechnic courses in Delhi in the Institution module, however, in case any institute has not been uploaded in the institution module of Delhi, the Head of the Institution may contact to the Dy. Director (Scholarship) at above referred telephone numbers for inclusion of their institution in the institution module.
The Student Module will remain live in case of fresh candidates upto15.09.2014 and for renewal candidates upto 10.10.2014.
The time line for online application under Post Matric scholarship is as under:
Fresh Scholarship :
Last date for submission of Online applications for fresh scholarship by students. 15th of September, 2014
Last date for submission of duly signed printed version of online applications by students to state Department through respective Institution. 25th of September, 2014
Renewal Scholarship :
Last date for submission of Online applications for Renewal Scholarship by students. 10m of October, 2014
Last date for submission of duly signed printed version of online applications by students to State Department through respective institutions. 20th of October, 2014
Eligibility Criteria :
(a) To be eligible, students should have not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination. Students from BPL families, having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order.
(b) A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail of any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the same course.
(c) The annual income, all sources, of the students' parents/guardian should not exceed to Rs. 2 lakh.
(d) Attested copy of mark-sheet of the previous examination passed be enclosed from School/ College/Institute.(e) Proof of Permanent residence.
(f) Original fee slip or duly attest fee slip.
(g) Aadhar seeded Bank account /Aadhar Number.
Conditions for Scholarship (Renewal):
Student who was selected for scholarship in. 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12 , 2012-13 & 2013-14 under this scheme and still successfully continuing his/her studies in the same course should apply for Renewal.
Eligible applicants are advised to apply online and take print outs of the duly filled-in application forms, through Online Scholarship Management System and submit the same along with all supporting documents through their respective Institutions to the State UT Department as per time line mention above. It is also Clarified here that without receipt of hard copy in the State MT Department the application will be rejected. Applicants are also advised to go through the FAQs (Frequently asked questions) available on the home page of the website for their convenience before filling up of online applications.
Scope : The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India only.
