The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar invites applications for the following posts to be filled on Contract basis

1 Name of the post : Machine Mechanic
Pay Band & Grade Pay : 5200-20200 & 2400
No. of post : 1
Age : 18-35 years
Educational qualifications and experience :
I. Diploma/Certificate from ITI as Fitter in related areas or its equivalent diploma/ certificate recognized by the Government.
II. At least 3 years experience in repair and maintenance of cutting/sewing/finishing machines in garment production concerns.

2 Name of the post : Jr. Assistant
Pay Band & Grade Pay : 5200-20200 & 1900
No. of post : 3
Age : 18-25 years
Educational qualifications and experience :
I. Passed 10+ 2 examination from a Board or its equivalent recognized by the Govt.
II. Diploma / Certificate in Computer Applications Operations latest softwares i.e. MS Office (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint), and proficiency in computer operations.
III. Have a speed 30 wpm in Hindi / English Typing.
IV. Proficiency in Computer Application with Lotus, Word Star, MS Word, MS Office, excel.

3 Name of the post : Library Assistant
Pay Band & Grade Pay : 5200-20200 & 1900
No. of post : 1
Age : 21-30 years
Educational qualifications and experience :
I. Graduate from a recognized University / Institution.
II. Diploma in Library Science.
III. At least 1-year assistance in a well established Library.

Scheme of Examination: The written test for all the posts will be based on qualifications requirement of the respective posts. The written test will be followed by Psychometric/Skill/Technical Test and Interview of the eligible candidates. The Institute reserves the right to admit only that many candidates as considered necessary for Skill / Technical test based on the performance of candidates in the written test.

Fee:
A Demand Draft/ Bankers cheque for the requisite fee as indicated below should be drawn in favor of NIFT – Gandhinagar payable at Gandhinagar.

Fee for SC/ST Candidates-250/-
