Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), invites applications from the eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the post of Principals, for posting in the hard and difficult stations in the North East Region, J&K and other states as notified by Samiti. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are co-educational, fully residential schools up to Senior Secondary level and are located mainly in rural areas. At present 586 JNVs are functioning all over the country. Being fully residential institutions, the Principals/ teachers are required to stay in the Vidyalaya campus for which rent free accommodation as available will be provided.

Educational Qualification And Experience :
(A) Essential :
i). Master’s Degree from the recognized University with at least 50% Marks.
ii). B.Ed. or equivalent teaching degree.
iii). Persons working in any of the Govt. / Semi-Govt./ Govt. recognized / CBSE affiliated Sr. Secondary (10+2) schools / InterCollege.
(a) holding analogous post, or
b) Vice-Principal in the scale of Rs.15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs.5400 with 10 years experience / service as PGT/Lecturer in the scale of Rs.6500-10,500 (pre-revised)/Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/-(Revised), or

c) A minimum of 12 years experience / service as PGT/Master / Lecturer in the scale of Rs.6500-10,500 (pre-revised) Rs.9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs.4800 (revised).

(B) Desirable :
i) At least three years experience as House Master of a fully residential school.
ii) Experience of working in a fully residential / CBSE affiliated / Govt. recognized school.

iii) Proficiency in English and Hindi / concerned Regional language.

Age: Between 35 to 45 years as on 30.06. 2014 (i.e the Candidates must have been born not earlier than 30.06.1969 and not later than 30.06.1979 (both days including) are only eligible to apply.
