Applications in the prescribed format are invited to prepare a panel of eligible candidates for consideration for appointment under the Board for the following posts during the next 3 year period with effect from the date of publication of the Rank List. The vacancies in respect of different posts as per the existing estimation are as shown against each post. But the additional vacancies likely to arise during the above period will also be filled in from this panel subject to reservation rules.
1. Name of the post : Scientific Assistant (Engineering)
No. of post : One
Pay Band : Rs.9300-34800 + 4200 (Grade Pay)
Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: First or Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR First or Second Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience in running or maintenance of textile processing or machinery or equipment.

2. Name of the post : Assistant
No. of post : Five
Pay Band : Rs.9300-34800 + 4200 (Grade Pay)
Age: Not exceeding 28 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: First or Second Class Graduate.

3. Name of the post : Junior Stenographer
No. of post : Seven
Pay Band o: Rs.5200-20200 + 2400 (Grade Pay)
Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: SSLC or equivalent with 100 words per minute in Shorthand and 40 w.p.m. in typewriting.

4. Name of the post : Junior Auditor

Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: A Degree from a recognized University with two years experience in the accounts branch of a public or private sector under taking.

5. Name of the post : Lower Division Clerk

Age: Not exceeding 25 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: SSLC or equivalent. 30 w.p.m. in typewriting essential.

6. Name of the post : Hindi Typist

Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: SSLC or equivalent examination with typewriting in Hindi.
Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi Stenography.

Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: SSLC or equivalent. A pass in the Advanced Training Course conducted by the National Coir Training and Design Centre.

8. Name of the post : Machine Operator

Pay Band : Rs.5200-20200 + 1900 (Grade Pay)
Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: ITI certificate (Electrician or Fitter)

9. Name of the post : Helper (Dyeing)
No. of post : One
Pay Band : Rs.5200-20200 + 1800 (Grade Pay)
Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
Qualifications: Essential: Educational: “A pass in the Training Course of not less than six months duration conducted by the National Coir Training and Design Centre, with three years experience in dyeing”

Application Fee: The application fee for the Post at Sl.No.1 & 2 will be Rs.100/- and Sl.No.3 to 9 will be Rs.50/-. No fee is payable by SC, ST, PwD, Ex-servicemen and female candidates. The fee is to be remitted in the form of Demand Draft only drawn on any Bank, payable at Ernakulam in favour of Secretary, Coir Board, Kochi.
Mode of selection: The selection will be on the basis of a Written Examination and Interview. The selected candidates will be posted suitably and they are liable to be transferred to anywhere in India where the Board's Offices exist.
