Online Applications are invited from qualified and eligible candidates for recruitment of 85 Assistant Lineman in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited.

Applications are invited from “Female Candidates” possessing pass certificate of 18/24 months course as on 11.01.2012 in “Electrician/Electronics/Electronic Mechanic” trade from Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) recognized by the Government of Karnataka.

Applications are invited from the “Male / Female candidates” who have passed 10th STD and Three years pass certificate of “Lineman Electrician trade” (ITC) imparted from the Industrial Training Institute Of KEB /KPTCL

Note:
The male applicants who had earlier applied to the post of Assistant Lineman in Notification dated: 12.12.2011 need not apply once again their applications submitted earlier will be considered.

Requisite Qualification:
a) For ITI candidates:
Should have a pass certificate of 18/24 months course in “Electrician / Electronics / Electronic Mechanic” trade from Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) recognized by Government of Karnataka.

b) For ITC candidates:
Should have passed 10th STD Examination and pass certificate of THREE YEARS “Lineman trade / Electrician trade (ITC) imparted by the Industrial Training Institutes of KEB/ KPTCL.

Other Qualification:
i) Should have knowledge of Kannada to read and write.
ii) Should have normal eye sight.
iii) Should have satisfactory physical fitness and shall qualify in the Endurance Test.

Age :
The candidates should have attained the age of 18 years as on the last date fixed for receipt of application and shall not be more than;
i) 35 years in case of General Merit candidates.
ii) 38 years in case of Category IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB candidates.
iii) 40 years in case of SC / ST and Category I candidates.

Application Fee :
1) Rs. 400/ (Rupees Four Hundred only) in respect of candidates belonging to General Candidate and Category 1, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB.
2) Rs. 200/ - (Rupees two Hundred only) in respect of candidates belonging to SC / ST Category.
3) Candidates can pay the Application fee by using Net Banking option, any Bank ATM cum Debit card, Internet Banking.
OR
Candidates can also pay the Application fee using Off Line i.e., pay by Challan at State Bank of india Branches.
4) Application fees shall be paid during hours between 10.00 AM and 4.00 PM only

Submission of Application:
** Applications should be submitted strictly “ONLINE” by logging on to www.kptcl.com, Applications will not be accepted by any other mode.
** The application shall be submitted through online from 01.07.2014 to 31.07.2014 upto 17.30Hrs.
** After applying, the candidates should take the printout of the Bank Challan generated online and pay the requisite application fee along with applicable bank charges in any of the branches of STATE BANK OF INDIA. In case, the candidates fail to pay the fees after submitting the application, their applications will not be considered.
** After submitting the application ONLINE the candidates should obtain the printouts of acknowledgement and Bank Challan and the same should be produced at the time of ENDURANCE TEST.
** Candidates should submit the application well in advance without waiting for the last date prescribed for submission. Fees paid once shall not be refunded under any circumstances or adjusted towards any future recruitment.

General Instructions:
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
No person who has been convicted of an involving moral turpitude or who has been temporarily debarred or disqualified by the Union or any State Public Service Commission from appearing for examination or selections conducted by it shall be appointed unless the Company after review of all the circumstances considers him suitable for such appointment.
Candidates who obtain appointment by furnishing false information in the application are liable to be terminated.
Postal address furnished in the application is final and no correspondence for change of address at a later date will be entertained. -
Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination but whose results are not declared before the last date fixed for receiving applications, need not apply.
Before filling up the online application forms, the eligible candidates shall go through instructions made available in the website. Candidates are expected to know the criteria for claiming reservation under SC, ST Categories I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB as well as norms for horizontal reservation under each quota prevailing in Government of Karnataka as on the last date prescribed for submission of application.
The decision of in matters relating to eligibility of candidates will be final and binding.
