Applications in prescribed forms are invited from the Indian citizens for filling up the following Posts of Officer (Single Post Cadre) with the prescribed qualification and scale of pay as mentioned below

A. Name of the post : Registrar
No. of post : 1 Post
Qualifications :
i) Uniformly good academic record with B+ Master’s Degree or its equivalent;
ii) At least 10 years administrative experience in academic institutions like University or in an Institute of higher learning of which 5 (five) years must be in high level administration in a University or in an Institute of Post Graduate Studies;
iii) Age not less than 40 years as on 01.01.2013 which is relaxable in case of exceptionally qualified candidates.

B. Name of the post : Director Of Extension Education
No. of post : 1Post
Qualifications :
i) A consistently good academic record with 1st or high 2nd Class Master’s Degree (B +) in Agricultural Science or any of the allied subjects;
ii) A Doctorate Degree in the relevant subject ;
iii) 10 years experience in planning of extension education activities in the broad field of agriculture, organizing projects involving demonstration or approved agricultural practices, training of field personnel, coordinating and supervising the activities of field extension works with well developed leadership, and ability and understanding of the problems of the farmers ;
iv) At least 5 years experience as chief of an organization/head of the department of an institution where extension programme forms a major activity. Preference will be given to candidates having Doctorate Degree in extension education;
v) Age below 55 years as on 01.01.2013.

C. Name of the post : Comptroller

Qualifications :
i) A good academic record with Master’s degree or its equivalent professional qualification;
ii) Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants/ Cost Accountants of India or experience in I.A. & A.S. or equivalent service or a Master’s degree in business Administration with specialisation in Finance. In case of the candidate holding qualification as in item
(ii), the requirement of Master’s. Degree may be waived.
iii) Preference will be given to Master’s degree in Commerce;
iv) At least 10 years experience in a Government Office or in a University or in an Institute of higher learning in a high administrative post involving supervision, control, planning and audit;
v) Age not less than 40 years (as on 01.01.2013) which is relaxable in case of exceptionally qualified candidates.

D. Name of the post : Director Of Farms
No. of post : 1 Post
Qualifications :
i) Uniformly good career with a B+ Master’s Degree in Agronomy or any branch of Agricultural Science or recognized equivalent qualification followed by Hons. Degree;
ii) At least 10 years experience in the management of farms in senior administrative position,
iii) Knowledge of agricultural condition in the country preferably in the state of West Bengal;
iv) Age below 55 years as on 01.01.2013

E. Name of the post : Director Of Research
No. of post : 1 Post
Qualifications :
i) Constantly good academic records with first or high second class Master’s degree (B+) or recognised equivalent qualification;
ii) Doctorate degree in Agricultural Sciences or any of the Sciences basic to Agriculture;
iii) 10 years experience of Research in any branch of Agriculture as evidenced by publications in standard journals
iv) Evidence of ability to plan, organize, guide and administer research activities;
v) At least 5 years experience as Chief of any Research Organization/Head of a Department in any institute (National or State or at the University Level) where research forms a major activity;
vi) Age below 55 years as on 01.01.2013.

F. Name of the post : Librarian
No. of post : 1 Post
Qualifications :
i) Uniformly good academic record with B+ Master’s Degree in Library Science or B+ Master’s degree followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science,
ii) At least 10 years experience of working in administrative/management position in a Library of a University or in an Institute preferably of Post Graduate Studies,
iii) Age not less than 40 years as on 01.01.2013 which is relaxable in case of exceptionally qualified candidates.

G. Name of the post : Deputy Librarian
No. of post : 1 Post
Qualifications :
i) Uniformly good academic record with a B+ Master’s Degree in Library Science or a B+ master’s degree followed by a Bachelor degree in Library Science,
ii) At least 7 years experience of working in senior position like Assistant Librarian in a Library of repute, preferably, in a University or an Institute of higher learning,
iii) Age not less than 35 years as on 01.01.2013 which is relaxable in case of exceptionally qualified candidates.

H. Name of the post : Deputy Director Of Research

Qualifications :
i) Consistently good academic records with a B+ Master’s Degree in Agriculture or recognized equivalent qualifications;
ii) At least 7 years experience in the field of Research in high position in any branch of Agriculture or allied sciences;
iii) Evidence of ability to plan, organize, guide and administer research activities;
iv) Age not less than 35 years as on 01.01.2013 which is relaxable in case of exceptionally good qualified candidate.

I. Name of the post : Special Officer (Development)
No. of post : 1 Post
Qualifications :
i) Uniformly good academic record with a B+ Master’s Degree or its equivalent;
ii) at 5 years experience in a Supervisory Capacity in University or a Research Institute or a Govt./Quasi Govt. Organization;
iii) Age not below 30 (thirty) years as on 01.01.2013 which is relaxable in case of exceptionally qualified candidates.
