For Category- 1:
a) HSC with at least 50% of Marks and 2 years Diploma in elementary education (CT).
OR
HSC with at least 50% of Marks and 2 years Diploma in elementary education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation and 2 years Diploma in elementary education/ 2 years Diploma in Special Education.
b) Pass in the Orissa Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET–Category-I).

For Category – 2:
and should have passed their with least 50% of Marks along with 4 Year B.A. B.ed or B.Sc. ed from a government recognized start or board or university.

a) Graduation with at least 50% of Marks and 1 years B.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% of Marks and 1 years B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
HSC with at least 50% of Marks and 4 years B.A. Ed./ B.Sc.Ed.
b) Pass in the Orissa Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET–Category-II).

Age Limit :
Candidates shall not be below 18 years of age and above 35 years of age.

Mode of Application :
Application will be submitted through Online.

General Instructions to the candidates applying on-line for Recruitment of Siksha Sahayaks during 2013-14 :
1. On-line applications for SS & SS(MLE) are separately available in the website www.opepa.in and the link “SS Recruitment 2013”. Candidates have to click on “Apply On-line” link to access the forms.

2. To apply on-line for SS CT & BEd category-
a. Qualifying OTET during 2012 & 2013 is mandatory.
b. Candidates have to put their OTET No., Year of Passing, exact name as in OTET Certificate and select the category to apply.
c. In case he/she has not qualified OTET or the spelling of the name mismatch then it will show “This is not a valid OTET number”.
d. In case already applied, it will display intimation that “Already applied”.

3. For CT Category, Untrained SC,ST and PH candidates can apply without providing the information of CT/D.El.Ed/DSE under RCI(2Year only) (Equivalent to CT of BSE,Odisha) (point no. 19 of the form).

4. For B.Ed Category, Untrained science graduates can apply without providing the information of B.Ed/Sikshya Sashtri/Spl B.Ed under RCI (one year only) (Equivalent to CT of BSE,Odisha) (point no. 20 of the form).

5. One candidate can apply once only for CT or BEd category for any one district.
6. Qualifying age will be calculated as on 1/8/2013.
7. After filling the form clicking on “Submit” button will save the data with generating an Application number.

8. Candidate has to take the printout of the application and keep all documents ready as per the checklist therein for verification at District level after the draft merit list being published.

9. In case the candidate could not take the printout of application or wants to make some editing to his/.her application, he/she can click on “Candidate Login”, provide OTET No., Application No. and Date of Birth to access his form. Here he/she can also take the printout of the application form again.

10. In case a candidate has missed the application number, he can get it through the link “Forgot Application Number” in the home page and providing the OTET No. and his/her date of Birth.

11. To apply for SS (MLE), OTET Pass is optional.
12. The candidate has to click on “Apply Online” for SS (MLE), choose OTET qualified (Yes/No) and proceed.

13. Candidate has to take the printout of the application and keep all documents ready as per the checklist therein for verification at District level after the draft merit list being published.

14. Candidate can apply simultaneously for CT/BEd category and MLE if they want.
