Sub: Engagement of Sikshya Sahayaks during 2014-15 .

The revised guidelines for engagement of Sikhya Sahayaks has been communicated vide S & ME Department Resolution No.18668/5ME Dtd.06.08.2013 indicating the procedure of selection of Sikhya Sahayaks. Now Govt. have been pleased to approve for engagement of 16601 Sikshya Sahayaks during 2014-15. The district wise list of vacancies is enclosed. To carryout the engagement process the following steps shall be taken at your level.

1. Advertisement to be issued by Dt.12.09.2014 in the local dailies indicating the district wise number of vacancies of Sikshya Sahayak for recruitment, Mode of submission application i.e. through online, details of OPEPA website, opening date of the oniine site for application and last date of submission of appiication etc.

2. In the website of OPEPA the following information shall be made available.
(i) District wise vacancies in each category i.e. . B.Sc., BA. with B.Ed. and +2 Science, Arts /Commerce with C.T.
(ii) Vacancies earmarked for PH category candidates as per the provisions of PWD Act and G.A. Department Resolution(s) issued there under to be indicated clearly.
(iii) The candidates shall give option for at least 05 districts according to priority.
(iv) Passing of required training and the score in OTET is mandatory for all candidates. Untrained OTE'Tpass PH,ST & SC candidates may apply. However training qualification relaxation for PH,ST & SC candidates fer posting will be considered subject to clearance from NCTE.
(v) Select list shall be prepared & will be valid for upto 150% of the vacancies of the districts.
(vi) The maximum age limit shall be as per the guidelines for engagement of Siksha Sahayaks Le. 35 years for general candidates with relaxation of 05 years in case of SC, ST, Women, ex-servicemen and SEBC candidates and 10 years in case of PH candidates as on 12.09.2014 i.e. the date of publication of the advertisement.

After last date of submission of appiication is over OPEPA will take steps for transmitting the applications of candidates to the respective districts immediately, so that the districts will take further steps to carryout the engagement process for which instruction has been issued separately.

There shall be a Supervision and Monitoring Committee under the Chairmanship of SPD, OPEPA with the following members for day to day monitoring and issuing necessary directions on recruitment of S.S..

2. Additional Director (Gen), OPEPA
3. U. C. Mohanty, Consultant.
4. Representative of NIC.

General Instruction for Candidate:
1. Applicable for OTET qualifiers only.
2. OTET-I Passed candidate can apply for CT category & OTET-II passed candidates can apply for B.Ed Category only.
3. Candidate is allowed for opting 5 districts of his/her choice as per his/her preference. His/her name will be listed in the first choice of district and will be transferred to the other choice as per available vacancy, if s/he is not selected in the first district.
4. If the candidate is selected for 1st preference district as per option exercised, s/he must join the same district otherwise the candidature will automatically be deleted from the list and will not be considered for other districts of his/her choice.
5. A candidate can apply once. In case of any requirement of changesin provided information, the candidate can edit the application online through “Candidate login” link by the last date of receipt of the application.
6. Candidate has to take the print out of the application immediately after filling/editing the form for submission at district level during verification along with supportive documents listed in the application form.
7. OTET-I passed untrained SC,ST and PH candidates can apply for CT posts.
8. OTET-II passed Graduates of SC,ST & PH category can apply for B.Ed posts.
9. Engagement of Untrained candidates of OTET-I & II category are allowed subject to clearance from NCTE.
10. The untrained candidate having less % of marks in academic qualification i.e., 50% for General candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PH candidates shall not be eligible to apply.(N.B- This is not applicable for trained candidates)
