RESULT OF PRELIMINARY (STAGE-I) WRITTEN EXAMINATION
CENTRALIZED EMPLOYMENT NOTICE No. 03/2012
NON-TECHNICAL POPULAR CATEGORIES (GRADUATE)
in Pay Band Rs. 9300 – 34800 GP Rs. 4200 / Rs. 5200 – 20200 GP Rs. 2800


1. Based on the performance in the Preliminary (Stage-I) Written Examination conducted on 02.12.2012 and 09.12.2012, candidates with the roll numbers listed in Annexure-‘A’ (against normal vacancies) and Annexure – ‘B’ (against GDCE vacancies) have been found qualified provisionally for appearing in the Main (Stage-II) Written Examination to be conducted at various centres at Bilaspur and Raipur on 18.8.2013 (Sunday) for the Non-Technical Popular categories of posts notified vide the above-mentioned CEN No. 03/2012. The listed Roll Numbers are in ascending order and not as per merit. Revised vacancy position is given in Annexure “C”.
The community-wise cut off marks are noted below.
(i) UR = 76.32 (ii) SC = 53.91 (iii) ST =53.43 (iv) OB =65.15

2. Individual call letters intimating the venue, date and time for the Main (Stage-II) Written Examination along with instructions are being dispatched to the above candidates separately by registered post. In case of non-receipt of call letters candidates can log on to this RRB’s website for downloading the duplicate call letter or may contact this office of one day before the date of Main (Stage-II) Written Examination for obtaining the same by producing proper identity. Candidates should bring upper portion of Call letter of written examination held on 02.12.2012/09.12.2012, one passport size photograph, age proof, caste certificate (for SC/ST/OB candidates) etc. for this purpose. No duplicate/corrected call letter will be issued on the day of written examination. Free second class railway passes will not be issued to the candidates for obtaining duplicate call letters.
Duplicate call letters to only those candidates who couldn’t download their duplicate call letters from the official website will be issued on 16th August & 17th August 2013 on production of documentary evidence in support of their claim regarding non-downloading. It should be noted that duplicate call letters will be issued only to those candidates whose Roll Number is included in this list of successful candidates.

4. The list is purely provisional and subject to verification of the details furnished by the applicants in their applications. The list is NEITHER a list of candidates selected for appointment in the RAILWAY NOR there is any commitment on the part of this RRB to offer appointment to the candidates. This is only a list of candidates short-listed for appearing in the Main (Stage-II) Written Examination.

5. Though utmost care has been taken while preparing the above results, Railway Recruitment Board, Bilaspur reserves every right to rectify the errors/typographical mistake, omissions, if any at any stage. If it is found later at any stage of the recruitment or thereafter that the candidate does not fulfill all/any of the conditions of eligibility, including his name is available in debarred list/debar period, his/her candidature will be cancelled and no appeal against such cancellation will be entertained.

6. As against separate detailed Application Form for each of the four groups as prescribed in Para 1.06 (c), the Application Form already submitted by the candidate at first stage will be held valid for all the notified categories of the RRB concerned for further stages of recruitment also.

7. As against the four Main (Stage-II) Examinations for four groups of posts as prescribed vide 1.06 (a) of the Notification No. 03/2012, there shall now be only one Main (Stage II) Examination on a single day/ shift for all the candidates who have qualified in the Preliminary (Stage-I) Examination. They shall be required to exercise their option/ priority for one or any of the seven categories of posts indicating their priority provided they fulfill the prescribed medical standards as given in the vacancy table. For this purpose, necessary option/ priority form is provided in the Attendance-cum-Option Form given in the bottom (detachable) portion of the call letter being sent to them. The candidates are required to ensure filling up the option form, duly indicating a number in each box for their priority for the respective post, and hand it over to the invigilator during Main (Stage-II) Written Examination.

8. The option/priority once exercised shall be final. No correspondence/ query in this regard shall be entertained. It may, however, be noted that mere exercising an option does not confer on the candidate any right to be considered for the post opted for. In case of no option for one or more posts or none of the posts notified, the post to be offerred will be decided by RRB on its own discretion, taking the merit etc. into consideration.

9. (a) Candidates opting for the posts at Category No. (5) Jr. Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist and Category No. (6) Sr. Clerk-cum-Typist to please note that the recruitment process for these posts also prescribes for conduct of a Typing Skill Test after the Main (Stage-II) Examination.
(b) The candidates opting for the post at Cat No. (6) Assistant Station Master to please note that the recruitment process for this post also prescribes for conduct of an Aptitude Test after the Main (Stage-II) Examination. They shall also be required to submit a medical certificate, obtained from an Eye Specialist as per the proforma given in Annexure – 6 of the corrigendum/addendum to Centralized Employment Notification No. 03/2012 published by RRBs or downloadable from this RRB’s website, at the time of Psychological (Aptitude) Test.
(c) For other categories viz. Comml. Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, ECRC and Goods Guard, the main (2nd stage) examination will be followed by document verification.

10. Prima facie, eligibility at the Preliminary Examination stage was adjudged on the basis of entries made by the candidates in their application forms. No documentary proof was called for at that stage. The SC/ST caste certificates were called for the purpose of issuing free Railway passes for such candidates. Candidates are therefore advised to ensure that they fulfilled all the eligibility norms as on the closing date of the notification. The original certificates in support of prescribed age, educational qualification, community etc. shall now be required to be produced at the time of document verification and the candidature of the the candidates failing to produce the same shall be summarily rejected. The onus of proving their eligibility for the post concerned and the genuineness of their other averments made in the initial application form shall rest with the candidates.

11. OBC candidates who wish to be considered against vacancies reserved for OBC and / or seek age relaxation prescribed therefor are required to produce requisite certificate issued from the competent authorities as per the format given in Annexure - 4 (Certificate prescribed for OBC candidates for appointment to the posts under the Government of India) given in the corrigendum/ addendum to Centralized Employment Notification No. 03/2012 published by RRBs or downloadable from this RRB’s website at the time of document verification. They are also required to submit a self declaration for non-creamy layer status in the proforma given in Annexure - 5 given in the corrigendum/ addendum to Centralized Employment Notification No. 03/2012 published by RRBs or downloadable from this RRB’s website at the time of document verification. In case they fail to produce the requisite OBC certificate and the self-declaration mentioned above, their claim for OBC status will not be entertained. Candidature of such candidates will be considered under General (UR) category only, provided they fulfill all eligibility conditions prescribed for General (UR) candidates.
