Applications are invited from the eligible candidates, possessing consistently good academic background and commitment to quality teaching and research, for the post of Assistant Professor in various academic departments of the Institute.

1.Name of the post : Assistant Professor
Pay Scale : Academic Grade Pay - Rs.8000 / Pay Band - PB3: Rs.15600-39100
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. with First class in the preceding examination in appropriate branch (60% or CGPA of 6.5 as applicable, where class is not awarded).
Relevant Experience: Minimum 3 years after Ph.D. or 6 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) after obtaining M. Tech. degree, in a position of Assistant Professor or equivalent with grade pay of not less than Rs 6000, working in any IIT/ NIT/ university/ deemed university/ institute/ college/ industries/ CSIR or similar research institutions or as Post Doctoral Fellow in a reputed Institute/university.
Other essential requirements: 2 papers in Science Citation Index (SCI)/ Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)/ Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) journals outside Ph.D. work. One ongoing sponsored project for candidates from academia. Two experimental or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate.
Additional Desirable requirements: One Ph.D. supervision ongoing; 1 Patent; Experience in industry or R & D laboratory of repute; UG or PG project supervision on live industrial problems.

2.Name of the post : Assistant Professor (on Contract)
Pay Scale : Academic Grade Pay - Rs.7000 / Pay Band - PB3: Rs.15600-39100
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. with First class in the preceding examination in appropriate branch (60% or CGPA of 6.5 as applicable, where class is not awarded).
Relevant Experience: Minimum one year after Ph.D in a position of Assistant Professor or equivalent with grade pay of not less than Rs 6000, working in any IIT/NIT/university/deemed university/ institute/ college/ industries/ CSIR or similar research institutions or as Post Doctoral Fellow in a reputed Institute/university.
Additional Desirable requirements: Two papers in Science Citation Index (SCI)/ Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)/ Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) journals or one patent; may be based on Ph.D. work.
Age limit (Desirable): 35 years

3.Name of the post : Assistant Professor (on Contract)
Pay Scale : Academic Grade Pay - Rs.6000 / Pay Band - PB3: Rs.15600-39100
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. with First class in the preceding examination in appropriate branch (60% or CGPA of 6.5 as applicable, where class is not awarded).
Additional Desirable requirements: One publication in Science Citation Index (SCI)/ Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)/ Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) journal.
Age limit (Desirable): 30 years
