The Central University of Tamil Nadu, an Institution established by an Act of Parliament, invites applications for the following Non-Teaching post on Regular / Deputation basis.

1.Name of the post : Registrar
Pay band & Grade Pay : Rs. 37,400 – 67000 + Grade Pay: Rs.10,000/-

Essential:
(i). Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade of “B” in the UGC 7 point scale.
(ii). The candidate must have Good Academic Record.
(iii). 15 years experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.7000 and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs.8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration (OR)
Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education (OR)
15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post in the Scale of Rs.15,600 - 39,100/- with Grade pay Rs.7,600/- or holding analogous post.
Desirable: Master’s degree in Management/Law/any course of administration or in information technology with experience of using it in management functions in Universities or Higher Education Institutions.

A walk-in-interview will be held at our premises for the position of Assistant Professor(on Part time / Guest basis) as follows

Name of the post : Assistant Professor

Eligibility:
a) Candidates having Master’s Degree with 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the relevant subject with NET/SLET/SET with consistently Good Academic record as defined by the University.[Under the term 'Good Academic Record' the candidate must have obtained on an average of 50% / 45% marks in each of the two public examinations/degrees immediately preceding the Master's degree for selection to Science / Humanities faculties respectively (w.e.f 01.06.2013). Further a relaxation of 5 % shall be allowed to SC/ST and PWD candidates on the above marks.].
b) Those with Ph.D in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET as prescribed in “UGC regulations 2010 for minimum qualification for appointment of Teachers”.
c) Retired University Academic Staff are also eligible, but should not be more than 65 years of age as on 30/06/2013.
d) Candidates having teaching experience of at least 2 to 3 years will be preferred.
