Subject: Award of INSPIRE Scholarship for the year 2012

On the basis of your application submitted under Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) component of the scheme: Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE), I am delighted to inform that you have been provisionally selected for the award of INSPIRE Scholarship for the period starting 2012, which is the year of your enrollment in B.Sc/ Int. MSc/ MS Course. Your INSPIRE Scholarship Registration Number is 512/2012 .

The total amount of the Scholarship is Rs 80,000/- per annum, out of which Rs 20,000/- per year shall be utilized for expenses towards your attachment with other research/academic institutions. This Scholarship will be available for 5 years to complete M.Sc/ MS course, provided you continue to maintain your academic excellence and performance. The Scholarship will be provided directly to you through State Bank of India (SBI) to your bank account.

To facilitate the transfer of Scholarship to your bank account, you are requested to open a Savings Bank Account in your name only, at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) in the country. Please note that joint account or account in Banks other than SBI will not be accepted. Upon opening of the Savings Bank account at SBI only (even not its subsidiary), you may please fill up the pro-forma available on our website (http://www.inspire-dst.gov.in/SHE_pr...k_details.html) with the requisite information and send the same at the address mentioned below for further action, within 45 days.

It is to be noted that only upon the successful completion of your first year course in Basic/ Natural Science and its continuity in the second year, the scholarship will be paid together for the first two years at the second year, subject to receipt and verification of the 1st Year Mark-sheet and Performance Report to be obtained from the College/ Institute.

It is therefore requested to send your first year annual Performance Report and Mark-Sheets (two semesters) after the announcement of the respective first year examination results. The blank format of the Performance Report may be downloaded from our website (http://www.inspire-dst.gov.in/SHE_Pe...nce_Report.pdf).

Both documents related to the i) Opening of the Bank Account (within 45 days) and ii) Mark-sheet with Performance Report (after declaration of the result) shall be sent to INSPIRE Cell, National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (NISTADS), Dr. K.S Krishnan Marg, New Delhi-110012 by Ordinary Post only.

Please note that a student cannot avail more than one scholarship at any time. Further, on acceptance of the INSPIRE scholarship by a student, switching over to KVPY is not allowed at any stage.

With reference to your offer letter dated February 18, 2013 I submitted the Xerox copy of First Page of SBI Bank Account on 7/6/2013 by ordinary post. I scored nearly 80% in B.Sc 1st year. There after, I further submitted my First Year performance report along with Mark sheet on 12/02/2014 for further progress and taking necessary action. But till INSPIRE Scholarship amount has not been credited to my Bank Account though to others the same has been transferred to their respective Bank Accounts. I have applied for inspire scholarship 2012. I am an H.S. pass-out in 2012(WEST BENGAL BOARD-WBCHSE). But my application form was rejected not on the basis of marks , on the contrary it was rejected due to my lack of knowledge & guidence as a result of which I did not properly knew what documents had to be sent along with the hard copy of online application form.Therefore I failed to send my endorsement form 2012 & other required documents. I got 431 out of 500 (86.2%) and the cut-off was 82.6% that year. But knowing the actual formalities I again applied for inspire-scholarship in 2013 via off-line. That time I sent my endorse form 2012 & endorsement form 2013 along with other requisite documents. Later I came to know this time applied candidates will be conveyed there inspire results via sending offer letters to their e-mail addresses. I want to know (since I have applied offline) how I can check if I am selected or not? I am again lacking guidence this time. Sir, If you kindly look into this matter I shall remain ever grateful.
