Applications are invited from the eligible and outstanding sportspersons in the prescribed format (given here under) for filling up of 12 (Twelve) vacancies in Pay Band-1 (Pay Scale ` 5200-20200) in Grade Pay ` 1900/2000 & ` 2400/2800- ; 04 (Four) vacncies in Grade Pay ` 1800 in ECR HQ/Hajipur and total 10 (Ten) vacancies in Pay Band-1 (Pay Scale Rs. 5200-20200) in Grade Pay ` 1800/- in all the 5-Divisions i.e. Dhanbad, Danapur. Mughalsarai, Sonepur and Samastipur) against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement).

Details of Sports discipline required for filling up of the aforesaid vacancies are as under :-
1 Atheletics (Women) 10000 & 5000 Mtrs.
2 Basketball (Women) Pivot & Alrounder
3 Football (Men) Stiker & Midfielder
4 Football (Women) Defender, Forward & Mid Fielder
5 Hockey (Women) Full Back, Forward & Goalkeeper
6 Kabbadi (Women) Raider, Alrounder & Right Cover
7 Wrestling (Men) +96 Kg. F/S & 96 Kg. F/S

Age Limit :
The age limit will be 18-25 years. (The age of sports person will be reckoned as on 01.01.2013) No
relaxation in upper or lower age limit will be given.

Minimum Educational Qualification for recruitment :-
In G.P.- ` 1800 – Matriculation or ITI or equivalent
In G.P- ` 1900/2000- Matriculation or equivalent
In G.P- ` 2400- Intermediate (If recruited in Technician Grade)
In G.P- ` 2800- Graduation or equivalent

Examination fees :
The examination fees for recruitment against Sports Quota will be ` 60/- (for Grade Pay- ` 2800/2400/-) and ` 40/- (for Grade Pay- ` 2000/1900 & ` 1800/-). Examination Fee can be paid only in the form of IPO/Demand Draft of above amount. Date of issue of IPO/Demand Draft should not be before the date of issue of this Employment Notice.

(i) All Female Candidates, SC / ST and Minority (Muslims,Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zorastrians{Parsis}) are fully exempted from examination fees.
(ii) Economically backward class candidates means whose family income is less than ` 50,000 per annum. They have to produce income certificate on letter head in the prescribed format as shown in Annexure- ‘A’ for exemption from Examination Fee.

Postal order/ Demand Draft should be in favour of “FA & CAO, East Central Railway” & payable at Hajipur. Examination fee will not be refundable in any case.

How to apply :
(i) The given format should be neatly typed or hand written either in English or Hindi on a A-4 size paper and should be filled in own hand writing. One passport size photograph should be pasted at the specific space on the application form duly signed on the top by the candidate.
(ii) Two similar passport size photographs (same as affixed in the application form duly signed on the top) should be clipped along with the Application Form.
(iii) All the copies of certificates in support of age, caste (applicable for Central Government services), educational qualification, sports achievements & other qualifications should be attested either by a Gazetted officer or by self and should be enclosed along with the Application.
(iv) All applications should be accompanied with Demand Draft or IPO worth ` 60/- or ` 40/- as the case may be, which will not be refundable in any case. All Female Candidates, SC / ST and Minority (Muslims,Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zorastrians {Parsis}) & Economically Backward candidates, whose income is less than ` 50,00 per annum are fully exempted from this payment.
(v) In case of serving employee “No Objection Certificate” from the employer should be attached.
(vi) More than one application in one envelope will summarily be rejected.
(vii) Only those candidates who fulfill the prescribed norms, should apply.

Application should be sent to above mentioned address by ordinary post only so that it may reach above address on or before 21.11.2012(Wednesday) or to be dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in the above offices up to 18.00 Hrs. on or before 21.11.2012. Applications of candidates resident of Andman and Nikobar should be reached to the above officers or to be dropped in the drop-box upto 18.00 hrs. of Dated 05.12.2012(Wednesday), No receipt at the counter will be given. All application should be in covered and pasted envelope.

NOTE :
(i) All candidates should indicate clearly “Application against Sports Quota”, Employment Notice No. ECR/HRD/Rectt/Sports Quota (Open Advt.)/2012-13 & Sports Discipline on the top of the envelope.
(ii) Application should not be sent through Speed Post/Registerd Post/Courier.
(iii) No application will be accepted after the closing date for whatever reason, neither any enclosure received separately after the receipt of application will be connected there with.
