Assam Rifles recruitment rally will be held at Jorhat (Assam), NRS-Jorhat Town from 10 Dec 2012 onwards for enrolment to 356 vacancies (male candidates) of following posts mentioned against each

Educational Qualification :
Personal Assistant :
(a) 10+2 or equivalent with English & Mathematics.
(b) Short hand speed 80 words per minute and typing speed 40 words per minute.

Havildar (Clerk) :
(a) 10+2 or equivalent with English & Mathematics
(b) Typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi

Physical Standard :
Height : Minimum height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 165 cms. The minimum height for Scheduled Tribes will be 162.5 cms.

Chest : The minimum chest of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 78 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion). The minimum chest for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be 76 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion).

Others : 170 cms (Height), 80-85 cms (Chest) & Weight according to height and age

Written Test:The written test will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a pen. The question paper will be of 100 marks.

Merit List and Call for Training : The candidates who qualify in all respects will be placed in merit list depending on the category wise vacancies allocated to states. Instruction to join the Training Centre for enrolment will be issued on the basis of Merit List.

Fee : Demand Draft for Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only) in favour of the Directorate General Assam Rifles payable at SBI DGAR, Shillong, Code No. 7338.

ii) Candidates shall submit their applications by 20 Nov 2012 as per the attached format to the address mentioned below along with a Demand Draft
iii) “APPLICATION FOR TECHNICAL TRADES (CLKs AND PAs) RALLY AT JORHAT (ASSAM)” be endorsed on top of the cover under which the application is being submitted.
iv) Applications will be accepted only by post.
