Applications in prescribed format given with this advertisement are invited from citizens of India as defined in Articles 5 & 6 of the Constitution of India, for engagement of 2 (two) computer operators in the Principal Seat of the Gauhati High Court purely on contractual basis for a period of 6(six) months only at a consolidated pay of Rs. 8000/- pm.

Qualifications : Graduate from a recognized University with diploma/certificate in computer operation. The candidate must have received training in execution of works such as data entry and DTP works, basic hardware maintenance including installation of various devices like printers, scanners etc., setting up and configuring LAN, Using utilities, application software and Web based applications of computers.

How to Apply :
i) Applicaion format can be downloaded from the website.
ii) ii) Candidates shall fill the prescribed application form and paste his/her recent passport size coloured photograph in the given space of the application form and shall sign across the photograph. Another copy of the same photograph should be stapled in the top right corner of the application form and the name of the candidate should write his/her name on the reverse of the stapled photograph.
iii)The envelope containing the application form should be super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT AS COMPUTER OPERATOR (CONTRACTUAL)” and the same should be addressed to
“The Registrar General,
Gauhati High Court, Guwahati-1,
Assam”.
iv) The envelope containing the application should be dropped in the drop box kept for the purpose in the High Court premises near the High Court Notice Board.

Note :
A list of shortlisted candidates shall be put up in the High Court Notice Board wherein other details of the Selection Test etc. shall be given. Selection test shall consist of a computer skill test and interview.

What is the Selection Process?

Candidates will have to appear for a Selection Test to be held in Guwahati as and when called for. No TA/DA will be admissible for that purpose.

Selection Test shall consist of
(a) computer skill test (word processing and spreadsheet) of 100(one hundred) marks and
(b) an interview of 25(twenty five) marks.

Candidates securing 50% or more marks in the computer skill test shall be called for interview. The checking of original documents, testimonials etc shall be done at the time of interview.

Candidates securing 50% or more marks in the Selection Test (computer skill test and interview) shall be considered for preparation of the final select list for engagement as contractual computer operator.

The service of the selected candidates may be terminated by the High Court at any time prior to the period of 6(six) months aforementioned without any prior notice.
