Applications are invited from the citizen of India as defined under Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India for filling up the following vacant posts of Library Assistants in the Principal Seat of Gauhati High Court, Guwahati in the pay band of Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay – 3000 (PB – 2)/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
2. Eligibility criteria : The candidate should be a Graduate with degree or diploma in Library Science from a recognized University having proficiency in the use of computer. Preference will be given to a law graduate.
3. Age limit : Not less than 18 years and more than 38 years of age as on the last date of submission of applications. The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC and ST category.
4. Examination fees : Treasury Challan of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only [Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty) in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST] to be deposited under the Head of Accounts “0070-Other Administrative Services-60- Other Services-800-Other receipts (Examination Fee)”
5. Selection Procedure : The Selection shall consist of:
1. A Written examination of 100 marks consisting of objective type questions with multiple choices. The written examination shall comprise of objective type questions related to the subject in question, General English, General Knowledge, General Aptitude etc.
2. A viva-voce test of 25 marks.
6. Last date of submission of application 18.02.2012
The candidates should super scribe “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LIBRARY ASSISTANT” at the top of the envelope containing the application form.
Applications received after the last date will not be entertained under any circumstances. Candidates already in Government services should apply through proper channel.
Applications submitted in other than the prescribed format and applications without the signature of the Candidate will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.

Project 1 – Diabetes Type2
Molecular field analysis, receptor field analysis and docking studies on N-(2-Benzoyl phenoyl)-1-tyrosine analogs against peraxisome prolifirator activated receptor. We have successfully designed a new analog with high activity for peraxisome prolifirator activated receptor.
Project 2 – Cox2inhibtor
Pharmacophore analysis of 3,4-diaryloxazolone derivatives against COX-2 inhibitor using Catalyst software Working experience with computational simulations of biological phenomena such as protein folding or protein-ligand binding and implementing fast and accurate methods for making predictions (such as protein-ligand binding free energies) to aid decision-making during preclinical drug discovery.
Gained practical experience in cheminformatics methodologies such as virtual screening, compound acquisition, compound database creation and maintenance. Computational Skills :
- Docking and computational studies of potential drugs
- Diversity Analysis of Combinatorial libraries
- Pharmacophore generation, QSAR studies and Dynamic studies of various inhibitors
