    How to Apply & General Instructions:
    1)
    Candidates are required to apply Online through nationalinsuranceindia.com. website No other means/mode of applications will be accepted.
    2)
    Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID.It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment. The Company may send call letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered email ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should share /mention registration no. to/or of any other person.

    3)
    In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she should create his/her new email ID before applying Online.
    4)
    Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his / her photograph as per the specifications given on the website. Candidates should first scan the photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature are within the required specifications.
    5)
    Applicants are first required to go to the NIC’s nationalinsuranceindia.com. website and open the link “Recruitment’. Thereafter, open the recruitment notification entitled ‘NIC Administrative Officers Recruitment 2012’.The candidate must go through the Advertisement very carefully and satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the Advertisement. Thereafter they should proceed for applying. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
    6) Application Fee & Service charge of Bank: (Non-Refundable)
    SC/ST/PWD : Rs 75
    All Male Candidates other than SC/ST/PWD : Rs 425
    All Female Candidates other than SC/ST/PWD : Rs 225

    7) On being satisfied that the candidate is eligible to appear for the written examination they should follow the following steps enumerated below:-
    Pre-Requisites for Online Registration:

    The candidates are advised to use IE 8.0 (Internet Explorer web browser), ensure that Java script is enabled and Pop-ups are allowed in the browser on PC/Laptop/Desktop being used for Online Registration. The candidates should also have scanned copies of their photograph & signature in softcopy (Type & format as per the specification provided in the website).
    Step 1)
    Candidates will visit the website and click on the link ‘Recruitment’. The candidate would be then, directed to the website for Online Registration.
    Step 2)
    Candidates are advised to go through the instructions & guidelines available on the main interface page before proceeding with Online Registration.
    Step 3)
    To Begin with the process for the first time, a candidate should Click on the “Apply for NICL Administrative Officer Recruitment 2012” button and then Click on link named Apply Online. The candidate would be directed to a page where he/she has to select from New User button (for first time registration or new registration) / Existing user button (for any other requirement related to later stages). Upon clicking the New User Button the candidate is allowed to fill-up his / her application form.
    Step 4)
    The candidate must fill up the application form as per the guidelines. Information related to important data to be entered would be available in form of hyperlinks at the relevant places. The candidate should check the same and proceed accordingly to avoid committing mistakes. After filling up the form, the candidate should click on the ‘(1) SAVE YOUR DATA’ button. Please ensure that all the information is correctly entered as once the data is saved, no editing would be allowed.The candidate would be get a confirmation message indicating that the data has been saved and they can now proceed to upload their respective photograph & signature.
    Step 5)
    In order to upload photograph & signature, the candidate needs to click on the (2) Upload Photo & Signature button. A new window would open up and the candidate should upload photograph and signature. After the candidate has uploaded the photograph & signature, the candidate should close the window.
    Step 6)
    The candidate should then click on (3) Preview your Data. Here the candidate can view her/his complete application along with the uploaded photograph/signature. The candidate has to click on Confirm button. The candidate would get a message “Confirmation Accepted”.
    Step 7)
    The candidate has to provide her/his consent for the correction of the information entered by selecting the “Declaration” text. Once the candidate checks this information and click on “(4) Submit (Final)
    The candidate gets a confirmation message mentioning the registration number and the other important options that should be noted down for future references.
    Note to the Candidates
    : Please note that the candidate should ensure that the information provided by the candidate is correct and true. For any incorrect information or misrepresentation the candidature may be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process and Company reserves the right to proceed against such candidate as deemed fit.
    [Important: A candidate who visits the website for the first time is considered as a New User and should use the New User Button to fillup the form. During this process he/she would be assigned his / her Registration Number (User ID).
    When the candidate is required to re-visit the site to check his/her application status or to take a re-print of the application form or Payment Challan then he/she has to login as an Existing User by Clicking on Existing User button and providing the registration number & date of birth subsequently].
    Step 8)
    Once the candidate has submitted his / her form successfully, the candidate becomes a Registered User. The candidate should then Click on [Log In] link to re-enter into the system using their login credentials provided to them. Also the candidate can click on “Print Challan” option. The system would direct the candidate to a new page from where the candidate can click on the link “Generate Bank Challan”. Once the Challan is Generated successfully a confirmation message would be displayed. The Candidate should then Click on “View & Print Challan” Link to take a hard copy printout of the same. The payment challan would be a triplicate having three copies.
    Step 9)
    Thereafter the candidate needs to go to the nearest Indian Bank Branch to deposit the appropriate fees in CASH only in Account No 6008050653 in favour of “National Insurance Co. Ltd”. Fees in Cash has to be paid within 10 days of registration or before closing date of receipt of online application / last date of online submission whichever is earlier. In case the candidate does not submit the fees within the said duration, his / her registration would be treated as invalid by the system. In such a case, the candidate has to undergo the earlier steps again and re-register him /her and obtain new registration credentials and the associated Payment Challan. The list of branches with address will be available in Indian Bank website.
    Step 10)
    On receipt of appropriate fees the bank in return will give the Transaction ID/Journal No. on the payment challan. The Bank will retain one copy (Bank’s Copy) and return other 2 copies to the candidate.
    Step 11)
    Obtain the counterfoils (Candidate’s & NIC Copy) of the fee payment Challan duly received by the Bank with (a) Branch name & Code number (b) Transaction ID/Journal No (c) Date of deposit & amount mentioned therein by the Branch Official.
    Step 12)
    After payment of fees the candidate is advised to wait for three-working days and then revisit the website to check the status of their application and take the printout of the complete application form. Candidates must Login using the credentials provided and then go to link titled ‘Check Your Application Status’ to take a note of the status. The candidate would be allowed to take a print of the system generated application form if and only if the status is shown as “Completed.
    Step 13)
    Candidate should not send this printout to the Company but keep the same for their records along with the counterfoils (two copies) of the payment challan.

    One original copy of counterfoil of the fee payment challan will have to be produced and submitted with the call letter at the time of the written examination. Without the counterfoil of the fee payment challan, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the written examination. Candidates are therefore advised to keep photocopy of the payment challan for future use.
    9)
    Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on to the company’s website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam.
    10)
    The Company does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit the application within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the Company.
    11) The Company takes no responsibility for any problem resulting in non submission of ‘on line application’ or not receiving any communication from the Company at any point of time during the recruitment exercise.

    12)
    Candidates are advised to frequently visit the company’s website for any information which may be put for further guidance.
    13)
    The name of the candidate or his/her father & mother etc should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
    14)
    The decision of the Company will be final and binding in all matters.
    15)
    Applications once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fee/service charges paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
    16)
    In case an applicant is not shortlisted, no claim for refund of cost of application or fees shall be entertained.
    17)
    In case it is found at any stage of recruitment that the candidates does not fulfill the eligibility criteria or he/she has furnished any incorrect/false/incomplete information or has suppressed any material fact(s),his/her candidature will stand cancelled. Before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other norms mentioned in the advertisement. The decision of the Company in respect of matters concerning eligibility of the candidate , the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced for the purpose of conduct of interview, selection and any other matter related to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate.
    18)
    The company shall not entertain any correspondence or personal enquires.
    19)
    Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate for consideration for the post.
    20)
    Any resulting dispute arising out of this process/advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts in Kolkata.

    What is minimum qualification criteria for the Admin. Officer post

    Essential Qualification :
    Engineering - Graduate degree of not less than 4 years in Automobile Engineering OR Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with PG Diploma (at least one Year duration) in Automobile Engineering.
    Health - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S). Degree of not less than 5 ½ years including Internship from reputed Institutes under Central Council for Indian Medicine.
    Finance - Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / M.Com / B.Com with MBA (Finance).
    Actuarial - Graduate in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Actuarial Science & Pass in at least three papers of the examination conducted by Actuarial Society of India.
    Legal - Graduate in Law.
    Investigator - Graduate in any stream including Law with minimum one year experience in Investigational assignments with Central /State Police department / Central Bureau of Investigation/ National Investigation Agency/ other Central/State Govt. Investigation organization. (Candidates should posses aptitude for Investigational assignments & should have Investigative attributes)
    Generalist - Graduates in any stream.

    There is no info on the job location in the official document. That means, most probably location is pan india (anywhere in india)

    Today i came to know about this....,,if i apply tomorrow or day after it will be accepted........

    registration ststus in oicl

    i have registered online in oicl for AO recruitment 2012, I have forgotten my Registration No. How can I retrieve it?

    Go to the home page and click on Retrieve Registration no. and fill up the details asked for to get your registration no.

    why website of nicl took long time to open

    sir i had paid fee but nw i am unable to print full app form so today i must get it but server busy since 3 dat help me

    The server is doing fine from here. I can open the website without any issues.

    Bt the problem is i gave my correct email address in capital letter
    Wil it be a problem?

    I dont think it will be a problem, as the e-mail ids are generally case in-sensitive.

    Unable to generate challan

    i am unable to generate my challan. How am i to pay the fees. Can i get the challan directly from the bank or is there any other means to pay the fees?

    The fees can be deposited at any branch of INDIAN BANK using the Payment Challan generated during online Registration within 21.03.2012.
