Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Ltd, emerged as a new Company in 2002 after its demerger
from Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Ltd. The production units of the Corporation situated
in Namrup, Assam have been revamped and modernized recently. BVFCL having two Ammonia
and two Urea plants in operation with total production capacity of 5.55 lakh MT of Urea per annum
invites applications from Indian nationals for the following posts of Management Trainees:

1. Qualification:
Degree in Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or
Electronics from recognized University/Institution.
2. Vacancies:
25 Posts
Chemical – 10, Mechanical – 05, Electrical - 05 & Instrumentation – 05
(UR-10+03 for PH, SC- 03+03 Backlog, ST- 02, OBC- 04)
3. Age requirement :
Maximum age limit 30 years as on 1.7.2009 relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST
categories, 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) and 10 years for PH-General, 13
years for PH-OBC and 15 years for PH-SC/ST categories.
4. Eligibility:
Minimum 60% marks in aggregate in the final examination. Candidates who have
already appeared in final examination and awaiting result may also apply. Their
selection however will be subject to their securing 60% marks in aggregate in final
examination and submission of certificate at the time of interview.
5. Period of Training, Stipend and facilities:
a) Period of training 1 (one ) year.
b) Stipend Equivalent to 75% of pay (Basic + DA) per
month. Balance 25% of pay (Basic +DA) of the
first year shall be released in four quarterly
installment in the second year in the scale of
Rs.8600-250-14600/-
c) Facilities Free bachelor’s hostel accommodation will be
provided during training period.
Free Medical facilities for self only.
6. Absorption :
On successful completion of one year training, candidates will be absorbed as Asstt.
Engineer in respective discipline, in the scale of Rs.8600-250-14600/- plus other
allowances and perks as prescribed from time to time.
7. Bond and Service Agreement :
The selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement and Surety
Bond of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rs.25,000/- for SC/ST candidate) to successfully complete the
training and thereafter serve the Corporation for a minimum period of three years.
8. Application Fee :
Candidates will be required to deposit application fee of Rs.500/- only (nonrefundable)
drawn in favour of BVFCL payable at SBI/UCO Bank at Namrup. (No
application fee for SC/ST/ PH candidates).

with attested copies of certificates & testimonials regarding qualification, age, experience
& caste for SC/ST (valid non-creamy layer certificate for OBC) PH certificate for
physically challenged, two recent passport size photographs and a Bank Draft of Rs 500/-
(non refundable) (No application fee for SC/ST/ PH candidates) drawn in favour of
BVFCL, Namrup payable at SBI/UCO Bank at Namrup, Assam-786623. Applications

The Namrup Fertilizer Complex, renamed as Brahmputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited after bifurcation from erstwhile Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited w.e.f. 1st April 2002 located on the bank of the river Dilli in the south-western border of Dibrugarh District in Assam is the first factory of its kind in India to use associated natural gas as basic raw material for producing nitrogenous fertilizer .
Till the beginning of sixties, Namrup a sleepy village ,was little known to the rest of the country. Discovery of oil and natural gas in Naharkatiya region promoted a serious thinking on proper utilization of gas which had to be otherwise to be flared up.
