I. Speciality : Tuberculosis and Respiratory Medicine

A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the sub section (3) of the section 13 of the Act.

ii. A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

iii. Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.
iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

iii. Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D.S or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.

Pay Scale:
Professor: Pay Band 4 (`37400-67000) with the minimum pay of `51600/- and Academic
Grade Pay of `10500/- + NPA
Assistant Professor: Pay Band 3 (`15600-39100); minimum Pay to be fixed at `30000/- with
Academic Grade Pay of `8000/- + NPA
(No Medical Faculty – No NPA)
(Plus other allowances as admissible under Govt. of India Rules)
