Applications are invited in the prescribed format (attached) from the eligible departmental candidates and persons working / who have worked on long term projects of ICMR for the posts of Lower Division Clerk, Technician-A and Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) in the Pay Band of Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900 at National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai.

1. Name of the post : Lower Division Clerk

Qualification : 12th Class or equivalent qualification from the recognized Board or University. A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English on computer. ( 35 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word ).
Age limit : Between 18 and 27 years of age.

2. Name of the post : Technician – A - Laboratory Division
No. of post : 1 post – Other Backward Class
Qualification : 10th or equivalent from a recognized board with one year certificate / diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or one year Laboratory experience working in a Govt. Laboratory / Govt. recognized Institution.
Age limit : 18 to 28 years as on the last date of receipt of the application.

3 Name of the post : Technician – A (Engineering Support ) Electrician

Qualification : 10th Pass / Matric / Equivalent with ITI or National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and successful completion of All India Trade Test (ATS) in the Electrical from a Govt. recognized Board or Institute.
Age limit : 18 to 28 years as on the last date of receipt of the application

4. Name of the post : Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade)
No. of post : 4 posts.
Qualification : Matric / S.S.C. or equivalent from a recognized board with valid driving license issued by R.T.O. of any State and authorized to drive Light Motor Vehicle (Goods & Passenger) and Two Wheeler with / without Gear and two years Experience in recognized organization / Institute. Preference will be given to those who have license other than above to drive Heavy Motor Vehicle ( Goods & Passenger ) and Three Wheelers (Auto Rickshaw).
Age limit : Not exceeding 25 years as on the last date of receipt of application

Fee : A Demand Draft for Rs.100/- in favour of The Director, National Institute of Epidemiology payable at Chennai, being the application fee should be enclosed alongwith the application. SC/ST, Physically Handicapped and Women candidates are exempted from the payment of application fee. The Council’s employees are not exempted from the payment of application fee for Direct Recruitment posts
