Counselling & Admission Process :
There will be 4 rounds of Counselling in the year 2013. Registration and Choice filling for initial three rounds will be allowed only once and the same choices will be process upto 3rd round. Fourth (INFORMED CHOICE) round will be LAST round of counselling and also it will be web based.

Age Restriction for all candidates:
For Engineering / Technology Courses other than Marine Engineering:
Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31.12.2013. There is no upper age limit.
Marine Engineering course:
Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age or above as on 31.12.2013 and must not be above 25 (twenty five) years of age as on 31.07.2013; as per guidelines of appropriate authority.

Academic Requirements for all candidates:
For Engineering/Technology courses (other than Marine Engineering) and B. Pharm courses (only for Jadavpur University):
Candidates must pass Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) and with at least 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates) besides having individual pass marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject).
For B. Pharm courses (other than at Jadavpur University):
Candidates must pass Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR Biology taken together (40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) and with at least 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates) besides having individual pass marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject).
For Marine Engineering Courses:
Candidates must pass Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together and with at least 50% marks in English either in 10th or in 12th Standard besides having individual pass marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject).
For Architecture Course:
A candidate, besides satisfying the eligibility criteria as stated in Para 2.4(a) above, must qualify in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and necessary document in this regard is to be produced at the time of Counselling.

Online Registration & Payment of Counselling Fees :
Two type of candidates are eligible for counselling
Type 1: Through WBJEE-2013
Type 2: Through JEE(Main)-2013

Online Registration by both the types of candidates is allowed only in 1st round of counselling through single interface irrespective whether they are eligible JEM seats or JEE seats. No fresh registrations will be allowed in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of counselling.

In 4th round of counselling, fresh registration will be open only for candidates who did not register initially. All the candidates who registered during main counselling will use their earlier credentials for choice filling.

All eligible candidates are required to register ONLINE through Internet (http://wbjeeb.nic.in) from places convenient to them.

After successful registration, a candidate is also required to download th e-challan from the same website and pay an amount of Rs. 506/- as counselling fees including service charge (Non-Refundable) in any branch of Allahabad Bank with Core Banking System (CBS). After payment, candidate are required to visit the website again and enter the e-challan payment details like transaction no, branch code & branch name, date of deposit etc. Original fee receipt will be verified at the time of reporting at reporting centre, if seat is allotted. If e-challan details submitted online by the candidates are found to be wrong; the respective allotment shall stand cancelled.

Norms for updating Candidate’s personal data during registration
Category, PwD status, TFW status, State of Domicile, Religion, Gender etc.; once declared by candidate in the WBJEE-2013 Application Form, cannot be changed at the counselling time. In case of any changes, candidate should approach the WBJEEB directly before registration.

Only those Candidates who have registered online and made payment of counselling fee and also enter payment details are eligible for choice filling.
