PAY BAND + GRADE PAY : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 +GP 2800 plus usual and admissible allowances to the Central Government employees from time to time.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
i) Matriculation or equivalent examination of a recognized University/Board.
ii) Certificate course from Industrial Training Institute in the trade of Fitter/Electrician/Motor Mechanic or equivalent with three years experience of working as Fitter/ Mechanic/ Auto Electrician in any recognized organization or three years Diploma in Mechanical Automobiles/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST :
i) The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will consist of 1.6 Kms.
Run to be completed within 6.5 minutes.
The PET will be qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded for PET.
Those who fail in PET will be eliminated and will not be allowed to appear in further test.

PHYSICAL STANDARD :
Physical Standards laid down for Direct candidates which are as under;
HEIGHT : 170 Cms.
CHEST : 81 – 86 Cms.
WEIGHT : Corresponding to height and age as per medical standard.
EYE SIGHT :
Distant Vision : Better eye corrected Vision 6 / 6 OR 6 / 9
Near Vision : Worse eye corrected Vision 6 / 12 OR 6 / 9 J.I J.II

MEDICAL STANDARD : The candidates must not have knock-knees, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and any other obvious deformities. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION : The written examination shall consist of only one objective type paper containing 100 questions and carrying 100 marks.
