RECRUITMENT RALLY FOR GROUP "X" (TECHNICAL) TRADES AT NIT HALL, POLICE HEADQUARTERS, KATOL, NAGPUR (MAHARASHTRA)
FROM 17 MARCH 2013 TO 20 MARCH 2013

Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from the designated Districts of State of Maharashtra to become airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group "X" (Technical) trades will be held at NIT Hall, Police Headquarters, Katol, Nagpur (Maharashtra) from 17 March 2013 to 20 March 2013 as per the Selection Programme given below.

SELECTION PROGRAMME : The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates reporting up to 10 AM at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.

DATE OF BIRTH BLOCK : Candidates should be born between 01 January 1992 to 31 March 1996 (both days inclusive).

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
(a) Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR
(b) Three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute.

MEDICAL STANDARDS :
(a) General Medical Standards for Group "X" (Technical) trades are as follows;
(i) Height: Minimum height required is 152.5 cms.
(ii) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(iii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
(iv) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) : not acceptable
(v) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
(vi) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
(vii) Health: Candidate should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain

JOB SPECIFICATION : Group "X" (Technical) trades involve jobs as given below;
(a) Automobile Fitter
(b) Electronics Fitter
(c) Electrical Fitter
(d) Mechanical System Fitter
(e) Structures Fitter
(f) Propulsion Fitter
(g) Workshop Fitter (Smith)
(h) Workshop Fitter (Mechanical)
(j) Weapon Fitter

SELECTION PROCEDURE :
Verification Of Eligibility : Original Certificates, Mark Sheets and other required documents {NCC 'A', 'B' or 'C' certificate, Son of Air Force personnel certificate (SOAFP), Domicile certificate etc.) will be scrutinized and verified at the examination venue prior to commencement of Written Test to ascertain the prima-facie eligibility. Detailed verification will be carried out in respect of candidates who pass Written Test later.

1. WRITTEN TEST
2. PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (PFT)
3. INTERVIEW.
4. TRADE ALLOCATION TEST (TAT)
5. MEDICAL EXAMINATION

HOW TO APPLY :
CANDIDATES ARE NOT TO FILL UP APPLICATION FORMS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION. THE FORMS WILL BE PROVIDED FREE OF COST AT THE RECRUITMENT RALLY SITE BY THE INDIAN AIR FORCE AUTHORITIES AND ARE TO BE FILLED BY THE CANDIDATES AT THE RALLY SITE.

1. DATE : 17 March 2013
STREAM / ACTIVITIES : Written Test and Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for Group "X" (Technical) Trades.

2. DATE : 18 March 2013
STREAM / ACTIVITIES : Interview of candidates passed Written Test and PFT on 17 March 2013. Trade Allocation Test (TAT) and Medical Examination for candidates qualified in Interview

3. 19 & 20 March 2013 : RESERVE DAYS

PUBLISHING OF AISL : The All India Select List (AISL) will be displayed at 6 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force Station Cotton Green, Mumbai (Maharashtra) on 30 APRIL 2013. A copy of the Display List will be sent to District Magistrate of Nagpur (Maharashtra) (through Airmen Selection Centre) and also available at Indian Air Force website. The inclusion of names of the candidates in the AISL depends upon the performance of the candidates in the Selection Test.
