Applications are invited from the eligible and outstanding sportspersons in the prescribed format (given here under) for filling up of 21 (Twenty One) vacancies in Pay Band-1 (Pay Scale `R 5200-20200) in Grade Pay R 2000/1900 & R 2800/2400- ; 10 (Ten) vacancies in Grade Pay R 1800 in ECR HQ/Hajipur and total 25 (Twenty Five) vacancies in all the 5-Divisions of E.C.Railway i.e. Dhanbad, Danapur. Mughalsarai, Sonpur and Samastipur (05 vacancies in each Division) in Grade Pay R 1800 against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement). However, the Railway Administration reserves the right to modify the number of vacancies.

In G.P.- R1800 – Matriculation or ITI or equivalent
In G.P- R 1900/2000- Matriculation with 50% marks or equivalent or higher qualification
In G.P- R2400- Intermediate in Science with Maths & Physics (If recruited in Technician Grade)
In G.P- R 2800- Graduation or equivalent

[b][u]Examination fees [/u][/b]:Indian Postal Order should be in favour of “FA & CAO, East Central Railway” & payable at Hajipur.
[b][u]For Grade Pay- R 2800/2400/- [/u][/b]: R 60/- 
[b][u]For Grade Pay- R  2000/1900 & R  1800/- [/u][/b]: R 40/-

[b][u]Procedure for Recruitment [/u][/b]: Selection will be conducted through TRIAL and INTERVIEW by Recruitment Committee. No TA/DA/Accomodation will be provided during trial/interview. The candidate may have to stay for 2-3 days during selection for which he/she has to make his/her own arrangement.

International Championships/Events are categorized as under ;

[b][u]Category- B[/u][/b]: World Cup (Junior/Senior Category),
World Championship (Junior/Senior Category),
Asian Games (Senior Category)
Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)
[b][u]Category- C[/u][/b]: Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category)
Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category)
South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior Category)
USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category)

[b][u]Minimum Sports Norms for the post in PB-1 (5200-20200), & G.P- R2400/2800 [/u][/b]: 
(i) Represented the country in Olympic Games (category- A), OR
(II) At least 3rd position in any of the Category- B Championship/events. Minimum Sports Norms for the post in PB-1 (5200-20200), & G.P- R 1900/2000
(i) Represented the country in any of the Category- B Championship/events. OR
(ii) At least 3rd position in any of the Category- C Championship/events. OR
(iii) At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/ Junior National Championship OR
(iv) At least 3rd position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association. OR
(v) At least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities. OR
(vi) 1st positon in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)

[b][u]Minimum Sports Norms for the post PB-1 (5200-20200), & G.P- R 1800 [/u][/b]: 
(i) Represented the country in any of the Category- C Championship/events. OR
(iii) At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category). OR
(iii) Represented a State of equivalent Unit, except on Marathon and Cross Country, in Senior/Youth/Junior National Chamionships OR
(iv) At least 3rd position in Senior State Championships for all Units and Districts of the State
