Project Title : Data Mart of Loan System
Role : ETL developer.
Duration : November 2008 to till the date

 Description : Our client is a leading finance consultant; the client is looking for the business enhancements to get the competitive edge in the market. The client has a need for an analytical data warehouse, since it is a finance facilitator; company has links with many business partners. The company is searching for software by which it can make better business decisions. The project involved in disbursal of loan amounts for various purposes like: Personal Loan, Vehicle Loan, Housing Loan, Consumer Durable Loans, etc. The company requires different level of analysis regarding loan amount, type of customers, type of payment schedules, interest rates (variable or fixed), defaulters list and the penal interest calculations, etc. The data warehouse (basically it is a Data Mart as it covers only one domain of the business process), Captures data from their Transactional sources. Its initial goal is to Pool Data from all the locations at the given interval and integrates at the central location by using ETL tool datastage7.5 so client can get different business related report using reporting build the capability to better analyze business (present and history) depending on various criteria.

The scope of this project is to capture the sales and marketing processes, to maintain client's historical and current data to build sales data mart to enable client to take decision to enhance their business process.

Project Title : Sales and Marketing Data Mart

 Description : This project involved the design and development of Enterprise-wise sales and marketing Data Warehouse. The scope of this project is to maintain present and historical data of the client and create intelligent data to support client’s business process, to enable the higher management to take intelligent and better decisions, to forecast the future market scenario and have a look into the trends.
The major tool used is Datastage7.5 to perform ETL operations. We used Flat files as source systems and create mappings and also tune the mappings.

Working as team member involved in setting up the environment at offshore, Preparing the documents for individual mapping customization, Loading of sample data in source system using datastage7.5 for unit testing, Customizing the jobs of SAM, Unit testing and code review.
