- Handling tech support tickets from web hosting customers.
- Monitoring servers and dealing with server downs, service failures and resource shortages, high load, high disk space, log files and handling database.
- Investigating reasons for failure of any service on the server and trying to fix it.
- Guiding Level-1 & Level-2 techs in resolving complex technical issues.
- Auditing servers, checking for server health and security. The audits include various checks, log analysis and cleanup, checking disk space, backups, security checks using various tools and root kits.
- Need escalations and client communication in severe cases.
- Maintain detailed documentation on client interactions.
- Troubleshooting performance related issues of Linux Operating System.
- Responsible for Installation, configuration of FTP, DHCP, SAMBA, HTTP.
