Ltd [B]Designation [/B]: QC Inspector [B]Period [/B]: July 2008 to Dec 2009 [B]Job Description [/B]: - Confirmation of incoming material against material certificate and client specification - Qualification of welding procedures according to different client specification/welding codes (AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API 1104) for different material using different welding processes. - Inspection of edge preparation & fit up inspection activities against fabrication drawings. - Familiar with Standards and codes like ASME 31.3,API 1104 ,Section II - Ensuring the use of proper WPS and Qualified welders for assigned job. - Day to day welders audit to control heat input, travel speed and proper use welding consumables. - Visual inspection of completed joints. Dimensional inspection, release for NDT, PWHT. - Execution of Hardness test after PWHT - Interpretation of Radiography films as per client specs/codes and review of NDT and PWHT reports. - Co-ordination with production department for any repair. - Prepare weld and material traceability - Review of test packs and clear all the outstanding items prior to hydrotest - Preparation of punch list and assign the categories for the outstanding items as per the client specification. - Release the completed spools for hydrotest and co-ordinate with client and witness the hydrotest. - Attending System Walkdown with client for punchlist clearing using P&ID for mechanical clearance. - Preparation and maintaining inspection records as per ISO and client specification requirements. . - Preparation of re-instatement report and ensure all the punch listed items are closed out. - Preparation of the final documentation dossier as per client requirements.
