Training is a learning process that involves the acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of skills and competencies, changing of attitudes and resultant behaviour to enhance the performance of employees. It forms the core of any good management development programme and becomes the backbone for the content at Strathclyde SKIL Business School (SSBS).

At SSBS we identify and assess the training requirements of different departments within various organisations. Our programmes are constructed using latest concepts and techniques in relevant fields of management.

[B]Executive Development Programmes (EDPs)[/B]
At SSBS we offer two types of EDPs General Management Programmes (GMPs) are generic programmes designed and offered to industries across various sectors. They concentrate on key areas aimed at improving efficiency and knowledge. GMPs enable employees to handle real life problems within their organisations.

These GMPs are designed for three levels of executives. The first is for functional specialists who can undertake training in key business areas. The second is for the middle level executives who seek to make the transition from technical or functional specializations and aspire to become business leaders. They get into cross-functional leadership development programmes so they can assume General Management roles with stronger strategy development and decision making capabilities. Finally, the third SSBS programme is for senior executives. It helps them develop into leaders who excel in an environment of constant change.

The SSBS GMPs see executives develop confidence and critical management skills. More importantly, the course builds their ability to achieve more with less. Thus those going in for a GMP, will find themselves growing from a High Potential Manager into a High Performing Leader.

Company-based Customized Programmes are tailor-made specifically for individual companies based on their request for a particular challenge they are facing. The course content and teaching material in Company-based Customized Programmes are prepared carefully to cater to specific sectors with their industry-related needs in sharp focus.
