[b]Summary of qualifications [/b]: I am offering about two years of proven experience as a practicing veterinarian and with a demonstrated ability in equine medicine, 3 Months experience as an intern- livestock specialist (Veterinarian) with insights in project and rural development approaches. I have supervised collection of samples for doping tests during races and their delivery at the Jockey Club of Kenya, Treatment and performing surgeries, conduction and supervision of baseline surveys, data collection and I possess the ability to effectively carry out the duties and functions of a Supervisor and veterinarian in a professionally sound manner. I have an exceptional knowledge in project Development, survey, disease control and management. I have participated in various scientific conferences and acted as a supervisor in conducting a baseline survey in southern Nyanza on different registered social groups in the region and how to improve their standards of living through livestock management and agricultural practices.  Institute (ILRI)-Khwisero/Butere, Kenya-DAIRY GENETICS EAST AFRICA PROJECT.
 [b]Duties and Responsibilities [/b]:
-Assisting project team identify and select farms and cows to be included in the project and study.
-Supervising baseline survey data collection, and data entry by survey enumerators.
-Collection and entering monitoring data from about 150 households in each site
-Making sure farmers enter their milk records regularly.
-Solve any issues related to milk production.
-Organizing and leading community focus group discussions and provide feedback to farmers
-Managing all aspects of the project in the field level and making sure the projects runs smoothly.
-To identify, develop and maintain stakeholder’s relationship at the site and making sure that they receive reports on the project activities in the area.
-Monitoring of projects through farm visits and group meetings.
-Offer animal health issues advice to farmers and treatment.

-Conducting farmer training(including trainers of trainers-TOTs/peer farmers)-conducting training needs assessment, developing and conducting a training plan including training on HPI(Heifer Project International) cornerstones for a just and sustainable development.
-Monitoring and implementing passing on gifts (POGs).
-Carrying out baseline surveys for newly approved groups.

-Documenting success stories or case studies for review by Project Advisor.
-Supporting the project team to screen and develop new groups requesting Heifer Kenya assistance in respective areas.
