 Hitachi’s software division is in a business of contributing to IT society by creating valuable software and services. It provides one-stop services for various products and platform systems related to the information. Currently all the departments are not integrated by result of which Sharing of data is minimal and if any analysis has to be done in that case data needs to be pulled from various sources which is very time consuming and difficult to keep everything in sync. This project was a solution to the existing problems by building a warehouse which will be having all the departments’ necessary information so that Business Analysis can be done at a better level in lesser time and lesser effort.
[b]Responsibilities [/b]:
- Interacted with the business users in analyzing and preparing the OBI data, report requirements
[b]- Created/Modified Metadata repository (.rpd) by using Administration Tool [/b]: Physical, Business Model and Mapping and Presentation Layers.
- Created connection pools, imported the physical tables and then creating aliases, defined joins and implemented authorizations in the physical layer of the repository.
- Developed the necessary star schemas in the BMM layer and modified them in order to accommodate the new business requirements
- Created different Hierarchies, Levels and implemented Business Logic by creating level based measures.
- Developed the Facts, Dimensions and complex joins between the logical tables, adding aggregates in the BMM layer
- Creating Users and Groups and managing the object level and data level security.

The project involved creating business intelligence solutions for the various work streams (compensation, compliance, finance) by comparing and contrasting data from various sources and then consolidating them at the report/dashboard level.

Abbott Laboratories is a diversified pharmaceuticals and health care company. The purpose of this project is to model customer profile, sales and trend analysis of marketing campaign seeking a customer centric solution In order to maximize performance and effectiveness and identify opportunity for continuous improvement using reporting tool .
Responsibilities:
- Developed the new metadata definitions, new Subject areas in the OBIEE Repository which involved working with the Physical, Business Model and Mapping and Presentation Layers of the Repository
- Configured dimensional hierarchy and implemented them in the appropriate reports
- Created reports in the OBIEE Answers and configured the results in different views such as Table view, Pivot table view, Chart view, Funnel view, Narrative view etc based on the requirement
- Created Dashboard Prompts, Intelligence Dashboards to accommodate the reports that are built in Answers
- In addition to the new development work, maintained or modified the existing reports in sync with the up-to-date requirements which in turn required modifications to the existing metadata repository as well
- Participated in weekly scheduled support calls with Business Users concerning the Production Tickets
- Modified the existing reports with necessary configuration changes in frond end as well as in the back end (.rpd)
