[b]Role [/b]: Project Manager
[b]Responsibility [/b]: People, vendor, time, and cost management.
- I receive manuscript (soft & hard copies) from editorial; study them and understand the requirement
- I do conduct the RTP call with our internal customers, if required I do it with external customers as well
- Selecting vendor/freelancers; negotiate with them about the cost and schedule and monitor their progress
- I will contact the customers to let them know about the project progress, incase of any clarifications and their availability
- I am the single point of contact for all the stake holders
- I review the sample, proofs; send it to the customers and receive it back from the customers with their comments and ensure that all the suggested corrections are implemented in the final version
- I will also take care of the cost part and ensure that the output is produced within the given budget and in stipulated time
- Once the final files are approved, I will start the manufacturing process, manage it and ensure that it is published on time as per the agreed contract with our customers
- I do take care of post production process that is in case of any issues with online version; I will identify the problem; speak/contact the concern person and fix it permanently
- I will also ensure that all the project invoices are paid in time and the concern person receives their copy of book as per the schedule
Televijay Technologies India Pvt. Ltd-Chennai (May 08 to Dec 08)
Televijay is one of the compositors in Chennai. They do books and Journals. They have departments like, Full service agency, Content development, Copyediting and Author management.
[b]Role [/b]: Associate Project Manager
[b]Responsibility [/b]: People, vendor, time, and cost management.
- I receive manuscript (softcopy & hardcopies) from the production editors
- Coordinating with production editors (PE) and their higher authorities for project details
- I do my analysis and make respective departments to do their analysis and generate reports like; art log, incoming analysis and production analysis
- Preparing launch notes and tentative schedule
- External launch meeting (telephonic launch call) with contacts
- Conducting internal launch with the project specified team
- Preparing updated launch notes and schedule and share them with in a team
- I review copyedited pages, and final paginated pages thus ensure editorial, and stylistic elements are as per client’s specifications
- I ensure the printer files are in good quality & in the agreed schedule
- I do collation and send final printer files to clients
- Two assistant project managers were reporting to me
Future Pack-LLC Sharjah (Nov 06-Jun 07)
Future Pack is the only concern that has full fledged prepress facilities with ESKO Graphics workflow & CDI (Cyrel Digital Imager) in the Middle East. They manufacture security labels, scratch labels, lids and sachets.

Expressions is the designing and printing agency in Chennai. We create designs for policy books, brochures, posters, flyers, catalogues, and packaging boxes.
