DNB (Diplomate in National Board of Examinations) It is a structured training programme in anesthesiology which has given me adequate exposure to Anesthesiology practice and skills. It is a 3 years training programme which includes specialty training in critical care, cardiac anesthesia and neuroanaesthesia. Sundaram Medical Foundation is a community based multispecialty teaching hospital providing tertiary care in all specialties of medicine and surgery except cardiac surgery. It has a fully equipped critical care unit which is recognized for fellowship courses by National Board. During my tenure I acquired skills in both regional and general anesthesia techniques. I am in charge of pre-anaesthetic clinic during my third year of training. I am under supervision during most of my training programme except for the last few months where in I am being allowed to practice independently with trainees under my care.
