Here we have applied ANN for denoising of image corrupted with salt and pepper noise, The functional expansion may be analogous to nonlinear processing of signals in the hidden layer of an MLP this functional expansion of the input increase the dimension of the input pattern.
The ANN may be used for online image processing application due to its less computation requirement and satisfactory performance. The prime advantage of the proposed ANN is its reduced computational complexity without any sacrifice on its performance.
