Job Description:
• Responsible for proofreading journal articles/conference proceedings/business communication with meticulous attention to detail and at high speed.
• Detecting errors in grammar, punctuation, spellings, and structuring and styling of references.
• Responsible for checking a manuscript adheres to various style guides (CMS, AMA, APA, etc.) in addition to specific journal guidelines.
• Capable of handling manuscripts dealing with the cutting edge of science and technology in areas as diverse as Anesthesiology, Bioinformatics, Computer Aided Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Epidemiology, Otolaryngology, Organometallic Chemistry, and Volcanology.
• Responsible for checking documents edited by trainee copyeditors to ensure quality and consistency, both on screen and in hard copy.
