Job Purpose :

[LIST][*]To provide support to the respective UK Finance Team. This team is very actively involved in retrieving various reports from the data warehouse. The team develops codes in SQL to retrieve financial data in different formats, to allow for easy analysis of information. The integrity of the data contained is very important as it involves interface of data between various systems. At times the person is required to advise the database administrators on programming of database fields to enable easy querying to the database. [/LIST]
Role :

[LIST][*]Prepare and review financial reports with the UK Finance team [*]Developing codes in SQL to retrieve financial data from the data warehouse and send across in the form of reports to various people [*]Ensure that system interfaces between various legacy systems and the data warehouse, take place in a timely manner The data contained in the various sub systems should be consistent. [*]Ensure that all information contained in the data warehouse at all points of time, is accurate, complete and valid [*]Retrieve various financial reports from legacy and other systems and validate the correctness of the data being reported [*]Perform all the weekly & periodic reporting activities by running various jobs on different systems [*]Ensure the data being reflected in the reports received from the data warehouse and other systems is accurate [*]Analyze financial data, giving detailed commentary on various margin movements [*]Taking on ad hoc requests which involve developing codes in SQL, to retrieve various financial information [*]Effective and quick issue resolution techniques to be incorporated in the ways of working [*]Ability to handle all system related issues in terms of system interface issues, inaccurate data being reflected, issues with the data warehouse/system, by passing it on to the relevant IT teams and following up in getting these issues closed. [*]Implement periodic financial controls [/LIST]

Functional Skills required to be successful in the role:
[LIST][*]Good Level of SQL programming and MS Access skills [*]High exposure to Business planning / reporting / SQL and systems knowledge [*]High exposure to financial analysis environment [/LIST]
