Job Description:
• Plan, direct and manage the safety, health &
environmental programs (including safety, health, medical,
industrial hygiene, transportation safety, environmental, &
workers’ compensation) for the Wadco facility.
• Ensure the plant is aware of, and in compliance with,
applicable SH&E requirements.
• Coordinate activities with and receive support from the
SH&E Shared Business Support (SBS) Group
• Represent business interests during enterprise strategy,
goal, policy and program development activities
• Represent the BU before regulatory agencies
• Facilitate Property Conservation Activities with FM Global

• Establish strong SHE programs
• Can execute against strategic plans
• Must monitor safety performance
• Strengthen the safety culture
• Develop BU/Site-specific procedures to implement
enterprise policies and applicable SH&E requirements
• Prepare regulatory submittals or coordinate/supervise their
completion on behalf of the BU/facilities
• Review/Approve applicable capital investment requests
• Incident response oversight, investigation &
reporting
• Audit participation & action plan status updates
• New chemical/material review & approval

Desired Candidate Profile:
• BS degree in safety, engineering or science discipline;
• Certified Safety Professional preferred;
• Ability to function well in a matrix reporting organization
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must manage multiple and/or conflicting issues/priorities
• Expert in safety & health issues and regulations relating to
converting operations
• Ability to act as strategic partner for the business
• Coaching and motivational skills desired
