1)Swelling analysis of structural component of DEMO fusion reactor (M.Tech Major Project)
Institute : Institute for Plasma Research (IPR)
Abstract : Swelling is phenomenon produced in material due to neutron bombardment. It causes volumetric expansion and property changes in material.Aim of this project to find out the swelling response of different structural material suggested for DEMO reactor on basis of neutron load. This task includes calculation of swelling induced material property changes and swelling for different structural material. Thermal and non-linear structural analysis like swelling is part of project. All analysis will be carried out in ANSYS software.

2)Thermal analysis of plasma facing component (M.Tech 4rd sem)
Institute : Institute for Plasma Research (IPR)
Abstract : Graphite tile assembly is used as plasma facing component, is subjected to very high heat flux in fusion reactor. Here, attempt is made to carry out thermal steady state, transient analysis and then thermo-structural analysis to check safety of design. All analysis and modelling are carried out in ansys software.

3)Modelling of vacuum vessel for international thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER) (M.Tech 3rd Sem.)

Abstract : Aim of this project to model vacuum vessel for to carry out various types of analysis. Vacuum vessel is made of four main components, inner shell, outer shell, rib and port structure. The overall size of vessel is 11m in height and 10m in major radius and is modelled in CATIA V5 software.
